Noob here. Looking at a 2024 Wildtrak to get in the next month or so. I have seen threads on rhino lining the MIC top and other bed lining. Has anyone used the flex seal to coat the MIC top?

Not exactly what you are asking, but doing so will void any warranty. I think the vast majority of us are still under the 36 month warranty, so itā€™s more likely that youā€™ll see more coatings, paints, and textures applied as time goes by.

My December ā€˜23 build is at the dealer right now being evaluated for a MIC replacement under warranty.

Is flex seal indicated for use as a top coat? Iā€™m not sure it was designed for that purpose. I assume bed liners have some uv additives.

Use 303 protectant. Works great on the MIC top. I do it every 3 months or so.

Pretty sure that flex seal stays soft when cured so probably not going to work. Several here on the forum have coated w/ bed liner though.

They used it to make a boat out of a screen door. It would seem they're pretty flexible with their indicated use.

It won't hold up very long.

I did not do an automobile with it. But I tried lining some outdoor ponds with it.

Sure, it held water, for a while. After a year though it was starting to come up, and when I drained it to clean it and touch it up, almost all of it came back up. So I'd imagine a trip through the car wash would obliterate it after a few months.

If out of warranty & I have any issues, I would probably try something like resin and not the type out of your bowl :sneaky:

I painted a cargo trailer with the white and grey colors 5 years ago and it's holding up really well. It does trap dirt though, looks good from far but far from good. I wouldn't be happy with it on my daily driver.

Probably get 15-20 years out of these. Maybe more if garage kept.

Iā€™m wondering how you got it to match the BL grill so well.
