Had to glance over at the Calendar and make sure it wasn't April 1st.

After that I glanced at the link and was sure it was going to take me to The Onion.

Why????Imagine if Ford was transparent about what was happening with the Bronco, honored the reservations, pricing and places in line...if Ford did any of those things, Motor Trend would have made Jim King.

I agree. I know the bronco start up pains have been tough but overall the direction he's bringing Ford is absolutely correct.

Lots of exciting new products.
Lots of successful products.
Positioning Ford as one of the best "legacy" manufacturers for the very fast shift to electrified everything coming this decade.
The stock price has reflected this too.

At the end of the day, Ford's contractual duties to their entirely third party owned dealership network force a lot of their hand on allocations and the fuckery we've been mad about. Jim is CEO of a major corporation and not the only say in the Bronco product development, so a lot of the production problems lay more on the Bronco team. I still think Ford fucked up coming out of the gate trying to juggle too many trim levels, with two body configs and multiple tops in a year where anyone would have seen and suspected severe problems for production in their industry. Could have started with 4 doors first, with a few trim levels and just two top options and added things as production hit it's stride. You saw them learn their lesson and do this with the Maverick earlier this year.

MotorTrend absolutely panned the Bronco and then bent over backwards to support and make excuses for Rivian as the superior vehicle in their cross country trail report. Then they named the Rivian the SUV of the Year.

Perhaps this article is just to placate Ford after slamming the Bronco and this remain on Ford's good side.

As a Toyota convert this is hard to argue that he should receive the award.

Execution is Ford's biggest glaring flaw. And that has me upset.
