Ford email update -- reservations, ordering, mid-October Build & Price

As I mentioned 10 or 20 pages ago (no, I don't blame you for missing it), I have two reservations under two different Ford.com accounts (used different email addresses) and I still got only one email and it was for my second res... placed two days after putting in my first. I did use the same name and phone number for both accounts.

Honestly, I wouldn't be too worried about it. They're probably doing some form of de-duping of the list.

This exact same thing for me except I got one for my first rather than my second. 2 separate ford accounts and email addresses, same personal info on both however. You’re fine Wahoowa

The reservation #s do not align with real reservation #s. There is some voodoo in Ford's numbering system.

I wonder if the reservation system creates a new reservation # each time a reservation is initiated, and throws it away if the reservation is abandoned before being completed?

So it sounds like we'll be placing another deposit with the dealer?

And I'm speculating, but it sounds like they'll be allocating based on similar builds?

I expect they will run several 2 doors of one color, then several 4 doors of another... etc. It sure would make things go faster that way.

Probably a pretty simple deconfliction not to send more than one email to the same recipient.

My dealer has been sending out emails everyday (business day) since last Wednesday. They just told me no deposit besides the $100 on the reservation. I’m ready for B&P now boys!

Just got in contact with my dealer (Ford Montebello) and they said...

"The Deposit is the $100 you already paid.
Reservation is Timestamp
I will keep you updated if any other updates come up.

Which is great news but I don't receive any updates unless I reach out for them, and half the time I end up knowing more than the dealer. Which seems to be a common theme among everyone here.

Haha, yes notes for sure. Actually I've already made my comparison sheet to ask about the bottom three trims as that is what I'm looking at.

So they WILL be expecting an additional deposit at order time.

Depends on the dealer. I talked to Granger Ford and they said they are not requiring any additional deposit.
