Interesting, I thought I had read somewhere here that the 2.3 came from the factory with an air/oil separator but as I remember it is mounted on the side of the engine.

I recall reading the same thing. Interesting that the listing shows the part type as being "Engine: Dress-Up Kits". Nothing screams performance like "Dress-Up Kit", LOL.

It does.

Not sure what's different about this kit, BUT... I shall investigate.

looks spendy compared to the aftermarket - but it has that cool "Ford Performance" logo embossed on the top...

+ how do you clean it out? Most catch cans are a cylendar that you unscrew the bottom of

According to instructions remove hoses, remove AOS and dump it out vs. the factory one being a fix d unit.

You unbolt it and drain it, then put it back...that's really what it is, a relocate kit

Yeah this is a "traditional" catch can while the factory oil/air separator drains the oil back into the oil pan to be filtered/reused.

I'm mostly confused about the pictures they have in the instructions, because it looks nothing like the Bronco engine bay from what I can tell. I'm assuming the pictures are from the Ranger and that's the reason why I just don't recognize it. Once I'm done with work I'll have to put eyeballs on my Bronco's engine to see if I can figure it out and align myself.

...subscribing...

A catch can is next up on my mod list.
As far as I can see this is basically a catch can...it separates/captures/collects the oil that can than be discarded. It's certainly a much easier install than typical catch cans on the market.

I saw that too. I actually think it’s Ranger engine as the instructions make a comment about the Ranger and Bronco being

What’s the expected benefits of this or a catch can? I’ve never taken steps to add this in any vehicle config I’ve had before.

Mostly snake oil. In cold climates they fill up w/water for half the year and freeze.
