Anyone use Carista to make modifications? I'm an Audi guy, and Carista is great for that platform. I've made tons of changes, and the UI us super intuitive. I just noticed that the 6G Bronco was added to their supported vehicle list. However, it seems that you now need their specific adapter. Before I dropped ~$50 on it, I figured I'd see if anyone had any experience with it.

Never heard of it but interested since Forscan may be on the way out. I mean I hope not but always nice to have alternatives

Carista is phone based and uses a Bluetooth adapter. It's way slicker than Forscan (at least in my Audi experience).

Interesting, I have yet to dive into Forscan (but it is on my short term to do list) and was wondering it being a Russian program/effort about it's general availability and update status.

Is Carista Russian or eastern European? Ironical, but I'd be more comfortable if it was an Asian effort :ROFLMAO:

In my experience it was garbage for anything other than Volkswagen products. Which makes sense because Carista originally built for VW vehicles. Forscan for Ford, Carista for VW/Audi, JScan for Jeep/Dodge/Crystler, etc. etc.

BUT, I will admit this was several years ago at this point, haven't used Carista lately.

Worked great for our RAV4 but wasn’t useful on the bronco. Seems like it is very limited support at the moment other than for reading codes and checking ECU.

Never heard of but we can't get a vehicle to program correctly with a hardwired connection to FDRS. Not sure I'd even want to try it with a dongle and BT. That said, Ford does have their VCM lite which I've used to pull codes and I think you can do some key programming but there's a reason Ford won't allow other functions. I bet they bricked a bunch of stuff in testing leading up to it's release.

Carista has worked great for my Toyota, tons of small modifictions. I'll be trying it (yes, the new version) on the Bronco soon.

This is like Carly for BMW. It is a subscription plan. I’ll stick to Forscan for now.
Well, Forscan already is an annual license thing (barring just rolling back the date or throwing burner email addresses for 2-month trial). And FDRS is same thing, timed license access. So... not really any different there.
