I also had a pair of these on my 100 series Landcruiser. Excited to see them offer something for the Bronco market.

I think the u-bolts are just fine. The main concern is going to be the loss of ground clearance with this setup. People who have taken these offroad already find the frame, and belly pans dragging across rocks, even with 35's.

How do these fit with the factory bash plates or common aftermarket plates? I'm guessing they may need to be modified to fit around the u-bolt tabs.

It's a good option in general, just not a slam dunk. Always something more to think about.

I really like the 2-tier design/styling and that these are frame mounted (without drilling)! I don’t think I’ve actually scratched my current body mounted “sliders” though so these might have to wait until I figure out my winch situation 😪

@Magnitude Flow I get what your saying , but it goes both ways:
"Nice meat grinders on top of the sliders, so you trip getting out and grind your ass off? Good job guys.."

As a company that has actually built 1000s of sliders and used them in real world trails across the entire US in the past 20+ years we have seen and heard it it all. (especially online)

The best design for a true "step slider" is a proper flat step -like these, proper width to step on - like these, step plates in the areas you actually step - like these, step plates that can let debris fall though.... like these. Bit of a trend here but not by accident, these are yrs of actually building and using sliders. Heck even our 2 stage rub rail is trademarked all the way back in 2009. U.S. Trademark Registration No. 4,010,850 for the rail design.

If one needs to add even more anti-slip, simple grip tape applies nicely to the primary step areas. Grip tape unlike anything one would "weld in" for built in traction, will not rip you a new one if you just can't help but trip. (Aggressive welded in "grip" can also over grip causing someone to trip. Seen it)

Great question!

Our Cactus Gray truck has the "factory bash plates", fit no issue. When it comes to aftermarket, well its the wild west there. It's not uncommon for aftermarket parts to via for the same real estate. This is where a good installer figures out the basic mods to the aftermarket parts to make them all play nice. Of course no mod is preferred, but accepting an inferior aftermarket part since it fits better vrs. just modify the preferred is not a good choice. It's all part of the fun of building up a truck!

I see that you have them mounted on a Badlands. Does that mean that it fits around the OEM bash plates?

I've just used skateboard griptape on sliders in the past and it works well. I only have to put it where I want it. The downside is, if you're wearing shorts, don't even think about sliding out of your truck or you'll turn your calves to hamburger. Got the scars to prove it.

I like them, just wish there was a upswept design like some others. It’s more appealing to me for the top hoop to angle up slightly.

One of the best looking options I've seen. A little pricey but not too bad, and obviously quality so.. you get what you pay for. I'm curious if these offer any protection from the mud rock and snow slinging tires we've read so much about. I hate the look of mudflaps.
