Why does every company feel the need to come one here and post 'teasers'?
For people to know a real roof rack is coming soon so they can eliminate that option when their order!

The factory roof rack thing is ugly as sin and not functional. I was going to make my own so I’m looking forward to seeing this one and maybe spare myself the agony of making it myself.

Are the verticals gonna come off of this thing or is it all one piece? It looks interesting but if it's one big piece I'd have no where to store it.
It will be similar to the jk, it will have quick release to separate and come back!

Assuming from your initial posts it will function similarly to this? Referring to the rack lifting back to remove hard top shell. Big question - can you put soft top fully down position and then put the rack in place over it?

Also assuming front panels (and middle for 4DR) are removable while in place.

You are right about the JK, it will also have the quick release function. We are going to start working on the soft top development but, the hard top front and back panels can still be removed when the rack is on top!

Does any body know if this is likely to be compatible with soft top retractability? Im bummed I need to wait until 2023 to buy a hard top and roof rack for my skis/gear.

Are you the dudes that glue the racks to tops? 🤷
We are a non-drill rack mount. The rack goes into the current spots of the vehicle where cross bars are and factory spots already on the vehicle!

We are working on a Bronco soft top too, some things will change to accommodate the roof of the soft top! We will have more details and images when that project is fully developed

Looks to me like it is mounting somehow to windshield side frame where ther are no holes to mount., maybe behind the mirrors? They said no new holes to drill, I would have thought they would use the useless crash bar tubes in the wheel openings to mount it, or somehow use the oem front rack mount but in reverse to not instrude on removing roof panels or flipping open softtop, but otherwise am still interested
When we have it fully developed, we will release some videos/images of all the mounting spots. The rack will not intrude on the removal of the panels, you will still be able to take them off!

How tall are the Gobi racks off the normal roof line. Looks great and like the functionality but if doesn't fit in the garage, doesn't matter.
We are in the middle of refining those few details but, once thats done we will post all of that

@GOBI Racks / Weston - one comment above leads me to think there is going to be two different racks? One for hard tops, another for soft tops?

On the Wranglers, I thought the only difference was a stability bar/plate for the hard top? If possible could you please elaborate any design difference that may come into play?

I am one of the ones who opted for a soft top to obtain my Bronco faster, and have been praying for a solution like this for my RTT. But I am also looking to buy an aftermarket hard top (come on @addictivedesertdesigns) so I would like the rack to be cross top compatible.

Thank you!
