Got super glue on the dash 😭 Looking for advice

Hello everyone,

Looking for some advice..

So.. we managed to get super glue spilled on the dash.. .. Long story(dying inside)

We tried isopropyl immediately with no success. My wife tried nail polish remover on a qtip and it just turned the glue white. I tried some goo gone and it seemed to help a little but still looks crappy.

im going to stop throwing chemicals at it before it gets worse or I accidentally strip the coating off the dash.

any advice would be appreciated.

Try acetone soaked cotton ball or swab and keep wet for 5-10 min to allow to soften then use microfiber to wipe; most nail polish remover is not actual acetone

I would test that acetone in an inconspicuous place before putting it somewhere as visible as where you have that glue.

Good point. I've forgotten plastic parts soaking in acetone before and came back to nothing left..

Some guy recommended Hellmans Mayo to get stickers off the soft top vinyl windows. Maybe it’ll work on this too lol

"Since cured CA is essentially acrylic plastic, anything that will dissolve CA will also soften most plastics. Care must be used, therefore, when using Un-Cure on plastics."

For textured surface, 1part baking soda, 1part vegetable oil. Mix that together and let it sit on the spot for as long as you want 2+ hrs at least. Then take a regular sponge to it and scrub. Should come right off.

If there is still some left take a rubber eraser to whats left and it should peel off
