Maybe you could drill holes in a few 4x4 blocks that the alignment pins could slide into while it is sitting on the ground
Or can 4x4s be positioned between the pins so they hang down and don’t contact/ rest on the floor?

Probably wouldn't be hard to find a couple of thick pool noodles if it's a popular beach area or if there is a Walmart nearby. You can just sit it on the noodles.

Same idea, but use bed post risers. They'll stack together to save space and are lightweight.

Mine sat on the floor for 4 months. Put it back on last week for a road trip. No issues. Will be going back on the floor when I get home.

Couple of 2X4s might be a good idea for long term, but it’s not that heavy or fragile.

I use a 4x4 on each side after I raise the top off with my hoist to keep the plastic pins free from bearing the weight.

I have mine sitting on two plastic saw horse in my garage. They have a weight limit of 800+ lbs. They are cheap and super lightweight. You can take them wherever you go because they fold up

It would appear you have slightly more room available in your garage than I do.

Man I went through this same issue for years on vacation with various Jeeps. I always bought the duel top option and had the hard top on for the road trip only to struggle with the hard top storage while at the beach.

I ultimately caved and left the soft top on for the road trips just for the easiness of top down fun while at the beach.

If you put the top directly on the floor standing on the alignment pins, which I have done, you will need to open the glass when setting it down. Once it is resting on the floor you can shut the glass, but it won't completely shut. I first set it down with the window shut and then realized it was resting on the glass and window gasket.

.But I would still like some way to carry luggage on vacation since the 2 door doesn't offer much for cargo space.
They have a solution for the lack of cargo space in the 2 door.

Man, I wish this were my garage! :) This is our warehouse at work. It takes up a bit of room. I would have used a hoist, but we have a room over the garage and ceiling is not high enough to store the top. It does fit in a corner nicely though.

This is probably what I will do. Definitely won't have room to carry wood. But can buy some once we get there. I was hoping by now someone would have come up with a roof rack system for the 2 door that only utilizes the rear part of the hardtop. I have a sunrider, so traditional roof rails are out of the question. But I would still like some way to carry luggage on vacation since the 2 door doesn't offer much for cargo space.

The cargo space is there if you look for it. First, no hard side luggage. Small bags that fit the spaces. Pack smart.

Just got back from a 9 day, 3600 mile round trip from Arkansas to Idaho with 3 adults and all our camping gear. We had plenty of space left over, even packing backup gear just in case. I do have one seat removed though and that allows a lot of options for size and space. The 2 door will do amazing things.
