I have a tight, short garage so no option for a hoist, but I have a toplift pro for my JLU. Works fantastic, hope it can work for the Bronco or if they end up making one for the Bronco, I would sell the Jeep one and buy it for the Bronco, no questions asked.

EDIT: I reached out to TLP regarding the Bronco and they "working on a product they are hoping to launch before the end of the year"
I just got off the phone with Top Lift Pros. (Based out of Melbourne, FL)

This seems to be the best type of lift system to me. No need to hang anything from the ceiling and you can remove/install top without being confined in your garage. They also have a door covers and storage system built in if you want.
They will have a lift for the Bronco by the end of this year. So, plenty of time. (y)

I use some hoists like this for my kayaks to hang from the ceiling, they are made for bikes, but hold my kayaks without issues. They hold up to 100lbs. They are a little tricky to lower...

I was thinking of using a couple of these for the roof. Does anyone know what the weight is supposed to be? Jeep JLU is 140lbs.

Also wondering how awkward it will be to put doors on/off by myself. Not that the weight is an issue but holding plus hinges
Having done the Jeep two door ones I’m thinking the Bronco doors will be less bulky - so easier - but not so easy you’ll pop them off b4 heading to 7-11 for a slurpee.

Not knocking the iron product, I know nothing about it.

But, one benefit of a hanging lift is freeing up garage space. On my YJ I back in in the spring to lift it off, park under all summer, and drop it on in the winter. Pretty handy.

Top hoist for my Jeep. $22 at Home Depot.
I bought 4 eye bolts and a 4 pack of ratchet straps. Total cost $22.
I backed my Jeep into the garage, located the studs in the ceiling. I took a length on sting with a nut tied to one end for a plumb. Let it hang from the ceiling and marked the four corners of the top. Screwed the eyebolts at the four marked locations in the ceiling. Unbolted the top and attached the ratchet strap hooks under the lip of the top. Adjusted the ratchets and drove the Jeep out. So simple.
That's how I have mine setup... Very simple

I rigged up some ratchet straps on my garage joists for my YJ top. Didn't work as well as the store bought options, but good enough for free.

Bronco top should be a bit lighter.
I did the same thing with my old K5

I used a Racor phl-1r hoist for a 2d wrangler hard top. About $150 or so, worked well. They seem to go in and out of availability at places like HD and WallyWorld. There are videos out there about how it has been done. One person operation to get the top off/on.

Thinking you can do the doors solo also? Not heavy but awkward

I still have a hoist in the garage that was for a camper shell, should word fine to get the top off, I am in my 70's and can't press 350 any more
I'm in my 40s and could never press 350, or 250, or 150. ?

I helped a friend with a 4door Jeep install a "Harken Hoister" in his garage to remove and store his top. Simple and works great. We went for the model (7806) that will handle 200#. The Jeep top only weights about 120#

I build mine at first then we moved.
On the next 2 houses i bought this one:

https://smile.amazon.com/Harken-4-Point-Hoister-45-145-Package/

Pretty easy to install if you are a little handy.
The way the straps go through the top (from window to back) make it kind of universal, i believe i need no change from Wrangler 4Dr to Bronco 2Dr.

Works great, easy to pull the roof up. (I had a boat trailer winch on my homemade setup which worked great too)
i found a damaged Box on Amazon for 120 bucks. I snagged it. Spent the evening measuring and marking studs. I’ll cut the boards little by little and should be done by the weekend.

I read 80lbs for 2 door clam shell less for the the 4 door. So not that heavy.
