Can you recommend one?

I have a Mabbett cargo liner for my 4 door and it is acceptable but what I really want is something heavy rubber that has (or can have) cutouts for the floor hooks. I cut slots in my lightweight mabbett liner for the hooks but the thin material has begun to tear. additionally, if I have no cargo and the top off, the cargo liner has caught air a few times on the highway. yikes.

I have the Ford version. It is probably the heaviest and has a nice molded Bronco in the center. You can also use your points to help pay for it. If you do go this route, be sure to keep an eye out as the website runs % off sales. Free shipping if you pick up at a local dealer.

The rear is marked if you’d like to cut for the tiedowns.

Ford one here too got at time of purchase. Came in real handy to use as a mat to lay on when changing a tire in the trail.

BigHoof…. I have the Ford one and happy with the weight…. Thanks for pointing out that it’s marked for the tie down cutouts; hadn’t noticed and was planning to do that!! Hopefully easier now 😜

Take a look at this post on my build journal. I have the slide out security drawer and wanted a mat on the top. I found this one from Home Depot which required very minimal trimming and is heavy. I love it! I don't see why this wouldn't work without the drawer as well.

I looked at Lowe’s and Tractor Supply for mine. Can’t remember which store I bought at, but I got a large 3/8 inch mat and cut to size.

I found an older Land Rover mat that is heavy duty and fits nearly perfect

Tractor supply, grab some horse mats, cut to size, make a Bronco stencil and call it a day

I have the Ford mats as well. A little pricey, but well worth it - especially if you've got some free Ford points lying around...

Would it be possible to link to this rubber mat at HD? I like the design on yours and looked through their website but could not find it. The closest I could come to is this

By the way, one thing that SUCKS about the Mabbet type designs - the deep grooves run at a 45 degree angle. Sweeping dust out of them is a total PITA. Just spent 10 days on the road around the AZ and UT back country, sleeping exclusively in the back of the Bronco. Ask me how I know that the Mabbet design is very difficult to clean.

Years ago I cut a horse stall mat to size for the back of my Tacoma, it held up for years. Something like that or a gym mat could be worth a look if you’re looking for an inexpensive experiment.

I have the ford mat, did the cutouts and it is nice. What I don't like about it is the texture does not clean out all that nicely.

I have to pull it out and hose it down if I really want to clean it. I prefer some of my other cargo mats that will wipe down a little quicker.

It is sturdy though. I had to cut it down to size to fit inside my ford (tuffy) security cargo enclosure.
