Height of Hardtop vs Soft Top & Parking Garages

So… I just lifted my soft top Badlands Sasquatch and added 37” tires. The height at the highest point is now approximately 81” which is cool, as the parking garage at work has a clearance of 84”.

I’m swapping out my soft top for a hardtop and hoping it doesn’t add significant height. Found this published on a dealer’s website that seems to suggest that a hardtop is about 1” shorter than a soft top. Can anyone confirm this? Would be a bummer to outgrow the height of the parking garage.

Sounds about right - soft top has that folding frame that adds about 1" of height.

The difference isn't big mind you.

unless of course you have the soft top folded back once and you try to drive into the garage. Then the difference is massive.

I’ve viewed, but not measured the differences for clearance of my traction board brackets and the soft top is definitely a little bit taller
