Placing a 2024 Badlands order this week. Definitely a first world problem, but I am torn between Eruption Green and Velocity Blue. They both look awesome and pair well with the Badlands orange interior stitching/badges.

I currently own a blue Forester and a Lunar Rock Tacoma. Lunar Rock/Cactus Gray is wearing on me but it hides dust and dirt well.

If you own one of these colors, what do you love or hate the most about them? Are they a pain to clean? etc..

Help convince me which color to go with, pictures would be great!
I planned to buy one of those two colors but went Cactus instead. No regerts.

I believe I saw that Eruption Green was the most popular '22 color. Not sure about '23. And IIRC, Velocity Blue was pretty low.

So if you you want to be different, than you should go VB.

I had the Blue on my original '21 order but changed to Green when reordering for '23. The blue just seemed too girly (pretty) once seen in the wild. The green to me is more suited for an offroad vehicle. But hey, they make various colors because we all have different tastes. Can't go wrong with either.

Im pretty sure Area 51 and Cactus Grey were the most ordered colors in 2022 and Eruption was "surprisingly high" but not as much as the other two.

Eruption would be better if it wasnt metallic. Like Sarge on a Jeep.

If you haven't already, I'd HIGHLY recommend seeing the colors in person, in different lighting situations. Preferably on a Bronco, and even better on a 2 or 4 door (whichever style you want). Most photos here don't tell the true story. With that said, here is my color opinion:

Normally red is my go-to color. But I got Velocity Blue because it's overall a nice shade of blue, doesn't overpower in the sun (although it is metallic), and looks nice as well in the shade. Be advised in the shade it turns a darker shade of blue, but still in my opinion nice (check it out in person). I think VB with dark/black accents looks especially good, that's the way to best highlight the qualities of VB.

The Eruption Green looks a lot better in person than I thought it would. But in the sun it's going to have the more lighter green/gold mentioned. Make sure you like that look, because it's different than the more solid somewhat darker shade that is in some photos. Potential downside is green tends to go in and out of style. I once had a green Ford Escort from when green was kind of the "in" color, and everyone knew when it was built after green was no longer the "in" color, lol.

Hot Pepper Red - depending on lighting make sure you like burnt orange.

Race Red (aka Retina Burning Red) - in the sun make sure you have sunglasses. I probably would have gone with RR if there was no such thing as sun, lol.

And then there are these colors: ;)

(The above opinions are only that, intended with some humor, paint color can be a very personal aesthetic choice, be sure to view IN PERSON and make a choice that works for you.)
I first saw VB on a friends 19 Mustang and didnt really care for it. When I ordered the Bronco I looked at a VB F150 and liked it better so I took a chance and couldnt be happier. I even painted my zx6r to match. I think the color looks even better cause of the curves and lines. Its not finished yet but Ill have pics when it is.

In my opinion they are my two best colors, I also liked rapid red from 2021, but my favorite is velocity blue!

I feel your pain. When I ordered in March I was torn between HPR and Eruptions Green. I was able to see both in person and really loved them both but went with the green. About a month later I saw an azure grey and it jumped to the top of my list. At the same time I was noticing 90% of the bronco in my area were green so I called my dealer and made the change. It was built this week so no changing now, but I did lay eyes on a cactus grey the other day and….😀. I would have been happy with any of them and it sounds like there isn’t a wrong choice for you either. I have had several black and dark grey trucks and although they look great when clean it doesn’t last long lol. I felt green might fall into that category also.
Some friends just got an azure gray 2dr BB and its a very nice color too
