I have a 2022 outerbanks and can not get the spots of the rear fender flares!! I tried everything from bug tar remover to rubbing compound and everything thing in between! I seen solutions for the black plastic flares not really any for factory painted flares! Any advice is appreciated. God bless America and Happy safe 4th of july🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🥃🍔🌭🍺

Have you tried white vinegar? Try a small spot to start.

Trying cleaning it with Dawn dish soap. If that doesn’t work then use a micro fiber towel with a small amount of acetone. do not pour acetone on vehicle.

Wait what? Acetone removes paint. I guess it will remove the spots.

So what are the spots? Actual stains from tar? Or are they chips in the clear?

I don't know what will work, but it's possible hair dye developer 40 might work to bleach it out. I've used it on old yellowed plastics to brighten it. Coated it in the developer and placed in a ziploc bag overnight. I would probably consult the body shop at your dealer first. This seems odd

Take them off and put fender deletes on. Or try a clay bar I've gotten some pretty nasty road grit off with a clay bar

Steel wool and some linseed oil. That will take it right off. Better try a test spot first just to make sure. 😬

If you’ve put that much effort into it with no results I’d be taking it back to the dealership and asking them wtf. Then ask them to show you how to clean it.

Do you park under trees. At work or at home. My f350 sits outside in front of the house and gets those spots. Are a bitch to get off. It's some shit the trees kick off. I just take it to the car wash and boom gone.

Without knowing what it is it's hard to say what will work but I would try these products/methods one at a time.

CarPro Spotless
CarPro TarX
CarPro IronX
Clay Bar
Machine Polish
