Yes crazy....wondering about suspension
Put your spare on it and take it to an alignment shop to check it. If it is in alignment, drive that sucker until you can get it fixed. Keep a card with all of your info on it in case a cop pulls you over. You can show them the claim number, dates for all future appointments, and everything else. I sell insurance every day and that is what we tell our clients all the time. It may take months to get it in the body shop, so try to drive it if you can. No one likes to make a payment on something that sits in the shop.
I also recommend you speak with your agent. This may not be covered under the other persons insurance since the vehicle was "involved in a crime". The other persons insurance will likely deny the claim.

Why in the world would you be asking forum members... no matter what we say, your insurance makes the call.
Just asking opinions, ofcourse insurance will decide this is a forum.

Cops were chasing a Jeep Cherokee and it hit me.

Does this look like a total. Just got in December has just under 3k miles.

Jeep on right is the one being chased and then hit me.

Most concerning for me is the crunch under the hard top. The back gate opens perfectly so it all in the back 1/4. Plus worried about axle/suspension....

I still cant belive how the actual rim chattered unless that's the point of impact

How does this look, is that shock mount look bent? I have no warnings on dash ,just 2 on app, tire pressure and rear blind spot indicator which is gone ofcourse. No airbag deploy....just hoping the stuff we can't see is repairable

I would just recommend prepping now to be in a rental car for longer than the 30 days the insurance company pays. Just budget for those extra costs or start asking if they will cover the rental in excess of 30 days due to market conditions.

Wow, that sucks. Glad you weren't hurt. Looks like more than the surface damage going on underneath. I wouldn't feel confident about that frame going forward. How fast do the cops think he was going?

I like all the frame being bent equals totaled, I had a 95 F150 XLT that took a front hit from a Ranger and they replaced my frame because it was still cheaper than totaling the truck. They can straighten frames with precision and if needed reweld on brackets probably better than the factory.

That's terrible I am very sorry. I hope the driver of the jeep resisted arrest and got "the works"...

That should not be an issue. Since it was the other persons fault, rental car would be covered on their policy through the Liability portion until this one is fixed. Even if the other insurance denies the claim, uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage (OP) will still pay the whole rental (in most states).

Also, careful what you say to the insurance people. They will talk to you in a casual way and use your words against you. Be careful what you say to them, they'll look for anything you say to disqualify you from what could or could not be covered.

Different states have very different rules.

So, some states if the repair is 50% of the value, it's totaled. Some it's 75%.

Some states the insurance company gets to add in the scrap value of the vehicle, so if repairs + scrap value > 75% it's a total. The ridiculously high scrap values of a new Bronco is causing us to see vehicles totaled with very minor damage. So, if a new Bronco is $50k, and scrap value is $40k, then a single dollar of repair meets the formula for a total loss.

Stupid question my insurer also has the truck loan...wouldn't they be charging the insurance company who's at fault. They won't be paying for anything. In the perfect world they would be looking out for me and making me get my truck back and charge the other insurer whatever it costs to fix......

He only needs to involve his insurance if the other party is uninsured or underinsured.

My daughter got rear ended a couple weeks ago. Called my insurance company, they told me to hang up and file a claim with the other guy's insurance.

Odds are nobody has even looked at it yet.
