I am getting waved at a lot by people in jeeps.....not sure how to respond yet.

If somebody offers me a friendly wave I always try to wave back. Regardless of who's driving what.

I agree completely, I am honestly waving like a goof and smiling from ear to ear because I love this thing. I just currently never initiate anything, just respond in kind.

My 17 yo daughter drove my husbands 89 Jeep Wagoneer the other day and got ducked. She was so excited. I think it's a fun thing to do. If ducking Broncos is gonna be a thing I'd totally do it.

Why? Anyone doing that is not intending any harm. Quite the opposite. I wish life in general was much more like that.

I've run into a few other Bronco owners... I give them a diecast of their vehicles... I keep a bunch in my center console. 2 doors from hotwheels and 4 doors from Matchbox. Never just place them on the vehicles, but will give to the owner if I see them.

So question: What is ducking, and what does a duck have to do with a Jeep? I have guessed by these replies it's a show respect(?) to other off-roaders?

If so that's kinda cool I would think.

I think it’s pretty nice and all in good fun. Mine got bucked in my garage all locked up. But it was my daughter, who was put up to it by my mother in law as she has started since her bronco sport got bucked.

Ah man…. I still like “Bucked” better but I suppose it doesn’t work if “Bronked” has already been established.
