Brought it to the dealer after the alarm went off like 8-10 times in a week. I took a screen shot every time my app went off, since they automatically erase themselves with subsequent alarms.

They found a defective hood latch/sensor. Had it replaced under warranty. So far so good.

Same here. Alarm goes off every day just a bit after 6 PM, if I'm driving I get a hood ajar message. 2023 picked it up just on the 24th.

Poked around under the hood but not sure where the sensor is.

Hi there! I can look into your Bronco's alarm concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?
Same here - Joe Myers Ford, Houston, TX. - VIN: 1FMEE5DH1PLA92440

Mine has started to do this also, but so far only while parked in my driveway. 3 times this week, twice at 2:27pm and once at 2:37pm.

New Bronco telling me it wants to be taken for a ride. Hood 'alarm triggered' while sitting in driveway. Just picked it up last week. Was fine until this week. 2 Door base. I will DM the Ford rep here.

Mine did this on the road or in the driveway several days in a row after I bought it and then stopped. Hasn't happened in about a week.

I just wanted to note, the Ford rep got back to me on a Saturday, and addressed the problem by assigning a work order. I couldn't ask for anything more. Thank you.

We’ve had this issue as well. Bought our BL about a month ago and it happened a few times last week. We had a cold snap (-7) and it always happened after parking while engine was cooling, or after starting when engine was warming up. It seemed temperature shifts effected it. I posted about it in different threads but just found this one.

One poster suggested adjusting the rubber hood stops, but I haven’t tried it yet as ours has not done it for a week now. Temps around 30 since the cold snap. Temperature may have nothing to do with it, but seemed related at the time.

My alarm has gone off 3 times in last 12 hours. It has gone off randomly a few other times. It always has a message on the Ford Pass app relating it to the hood.

Hey all this was happening every day multiple times a day but recently lowered the hoodstops (literally two pieces you can hand screw down under then hood) and that has seemingly allowed no alarms for about a week now.

I had the same issue on my 2022 Badlands 2 door which is 2 months old. One month into my ownership, driving down the highway I get an alert saying my hood is ajar. Funny, because I hadn't even opened my hood since I picked up the new car 3-4 weeks prior. Looked closed, but I opened and closed it, and it seemed to go away. Yesterday evening, the car alarm went off in my garage for no apparent reason. I shut it off right away, and I did not receive any notifications on my phone / app. I am wondering if it is the darn hood sensor. Not sure if bringing it in to the dealership will help, as I am positive the response will be the typical "we couldn't replicate the problem", which they did for 2 other issues with the Bronco.
Count me in as another affected customer. Same issue with my '23 Sasquatch OBX built in December 2022 and delivered about a month ago. Less than 800 miles. I had never opened the hood. "Hood Unlatched" warning takes over dashboard screen while driving and goes off randomly when parked both day and night sounding horn alarm. Took it into dealership today, but couldn't reproduce the problem. I asked if they wanted to see my Ford Pass notifications and they said that wouldn't be necessary. They said they would make me a service reservation. The 1st available was 10 days from now. The tech said they would look it over for a day, give it back and schedule another reservation once the parts came in. He said he knew they wouldn't have the parts in stock. I asked if it was something they'd seen before and he said they've heard of it. Told me he wasn't sure whether it was a sensor or latch problem.
I appreciate that Ford seems to be monitoring this sight and asking for private messages and VIN numbers. What Ford needs to do is issue guidance and provide the necessary parts to the dealerships proactively. If this is a bad batch of sensors, issue the appropriate recall. I shouldn't have to make 3 trips to the dealership to correct what appears to be a clearly known issue.

Follow up:
The dealer replaced the hood latch / sensor assembly under warranty and zero problems since then. I refrained from trying to tinker with it myself, in case I messed it up and the dealer uses that to void the warranty for this issue.

Btw, I took a screenshot of my app every time the alarm went off, as each subsequent alert / notification deleted the previous one. This way, I had a slew of alarms notifications to show them.

Forgive me if this is obvious, but I can’t figure it out: How do we send a “private message”?
