They appear to be Limb risers, extremely useful if you plan on keeping your paint intact.
Useful for those planning to off-road, probably not as useful for the mall crawlers.
You know how many extra toilet paper they can buy at Target now and just shove them down the limb riser. That’s got to be at least 15 rolls each side!

There will be a time when they are a part of the look of a Bronco and you won’t be able to imagine one without them :)

I've never had or even been in a kayak, but I feel like if I have a Bronco with tie-downs, I may have to buy one as an accessory...
Had a kayak once.... tried going upstream in middle of summer.... sold it the next day and bought a jon boat with a motor lol after that it’s motor or nothing?

This is from the Bronco IG. This fishing setup is one of the "200" optional accessories that will be available in December to order. I'm sure they will offer plenty of things to mount to these fender cleats.

Crazy enough I don't currently surf fish but plan on picking it up when I retire. This rig would be great, one problem is they close the beach when the sun starts to set, but these would allow me to hit different locations with less worry.

I like them, they look very utilitarian. What would be some actual, practical and creative uses other than tie downs or brush busters?
Practical would be to use them to see how long your buddies can hold on to the front of the truck as your going through mud. Like a redneck rodeo of sorts. Hold my beer and watch this??

Hopefully it’s painted steel, or something like that. Gotta be crazy to trust plastic
Maybe aluminum. I like the idea. I have a canoe and a kayak and they will come in handy. While the fishing rod holder we saw recently probably has limited use, you can get an idea of the possibilities. I am in FL and we deal with love bugs twice a year - a clip on bug deflector would be great. GoPro, lights, etc. there are many possibilities. As for looks, I don't mind them at all...

The way you wear your assless chaps is your business.
News flash. All chaps are assless. If not they are leather pants which are just as bad as what assless chaps implies. Chaps that zip down the sides are Shotguns, and chaps that clip down the sides are bat wings. I don’t anticipate needing either for this particular type of Bronco (just having some fun with people who’ve never worn leggings). Although running a brushy area without doors might be a problem. Just had a vision of someone who takes off the doors before every off-road trip. Nevada pin stripes down all the fenders and perfect doors except parking lot door dings.

I can't imagine a small bump on the corner of the hood would interfere with vision too much lol.
They are specifically designed to be visible to the driver. One of their design functions is as a visual guide for where the corner is while maneuvering.

You will see them, all the time. They are not small like the tiny light indicators on some cars.

To me they would have made far more sense as an option with an alternately shaped hood. On every Bronco they are just another dumb gimmick like the "desert air intake" on Tacomas that no one asked for.

Make them so we can mount some removable high power spot/flood lights to use when off roading. Better yet design these with a few forward facing high powered leds in them.

throw a offroad light bar on them with quick disconnects

attach a couple American flags so it looks like you're an ambassador "the diplomatic vehicle of offroading'

I am planning to rooftop a 12 ft carbon fiber dinghy (hull weight only 97 pounds, so below the Bronco's dynamic roof load limit). Those hood loops will be a great tie-down location to prevent this $14k boat from ending up on the side of the highway (not mine; mine is delivered to me in October):

I like the idea of a high lift mount there. But are the cleats attached to the hood or the fender? I don't want to have to take the high lift off every time I check my oil/fluids etc. hmmm...
That's a good point. Hmmm

Pretty sure they said this will not be an accessory. At least anytime soon. But it gives us an idea of the capability.

Is this electric?
The boat can be powered by whatever outboard you want. I do happen to use an ePropulsion Navy 6.0 (8 HP) electric outboard on my current dinghy, and plan to use it on the OC350. Should plane it up to 16 mph or so. Electric outboards are awesome; no fumes, little noise, lighter/easier to transport, almost no maintenance, instant torque, etc. Only downside is really that they aren't good for covering huge distances all day, but that's not how I boat anyway (usually tow the kids on boards for a couple hours, then picnic and go home).

I have reservations for both the Bronco and Rivian R1S. I like that the Rivian has a 15 amp (I think) 120V outlet, which would be awesome for fast-charging lithium batteries. The Bronco's outlet is a mere 1.25 amps. But for the price difference I could probably buy 4 spare lithium packs, and I'm not sure I'm ready to part with my manual transmission just yet. It probably comes down to how well the Bronco 7MT shifts, combined with the actual cost of the R1S with the options I want. It's possible that a Badland w/ Lux will be within spitting distance of a lightly-equipped R1S 135 kWh after federal tax rebate. And the cost gap could narrow quickly when considering ~19 mpg vs. ~90 mpge. Depreciation is the real cost driver, though, and there are MANY unknowns there (for both the Bronco and Rivian).

The fact that there are no charging stations between my house and many of the lakes I'd like to boat on is a major factor, too. I imagine electric range goes to crap with a boat on the roof or being towed.
