Don't worry about resale value in a bunch of years. Whatever the gap in resale will be in, maybe 5 years, it's going to be within 3-5k. Get what you want; only so much planning you can do.

I have a SAS OBX. It has the interior look I want and enough off road chops to be able to do what I want off road. I'd rather have that for a bunch of years than getting into an interior I do not like .

If it's a WT w/HOSS 3.0 (suspension and steering upgrades), I would get the WT. The suspension improvements (Fox 2.5) alone over non-Sas are worth it. Without HOSS 3.0, it still has the higher-end Bilsteins on the BL (and the 2.0 rack, which isn't an issue if you're not off roading it fairly hard). Plus you get the better gearing (4.7) and the Sas setup. I'd be hard pressed to get non-BL or WT if I had that on offer.
It does not have the HOSS it’s a 2022. And i have no plans to do suspension mods or larger tires than what wouldn’t run on a stock Obx suspension. So o think the obx is the right choice for me

HOSS 3.0 was optional the first half of 2022, then standard the second half for the WT. So it depends on when it was produced.

If not, It will still have HOSS 2.0 otherwise, which is a beefier but not best suspension and steering components that the BL has. It will also have the 4.7 gearing, where the non-Sas OB's have the 4.48. Still good, I know @mpeugeot is a fan of the OB w/2.7.

What motor and gears in the OBX?

If it doesn't have the locking rear with lower gears, take a pass and get the WT.

I towed a 3000 lb fishing boat with my 4cyl/auto/4.46 Badlands.
It handled it fine, both motor-wise and handling-wise.

I wouldn't rush out to swap springs just yet, unless you know you have a ton of tongue weight, then id be concerned the Bronco is the right vehicle for you to begin with.

Also, WT's Squatch springs may be softer than mine.
Either way, try it a few times first.
Agree on this, if the OBX has the locker and 4.27's pull the trigger.

It'll let you upgrade if you get the bug to offroad. You're paying a WT premium for one that lacks some of the hardware in the newer WTs. That will also erode it's resale should you decide to sell.

Good to hear this, it does have the advanced 4x4 w/locker. Im 9 minutes from the dealer with the OBX, so mind is made up now lol 😂
Pics to follow!

What will be the value of the OBX when you drive it of the lot?

If it were me, I would go to the Wildtrak route if it hasn't been used hard and put up wet and it has the HOSS 3.0, plus additional warranty.

My 2 cents.

Does the OBX have the 4.27 axle at least, that's a big one with towing?

That's BS...dealers are well aware of this, should have made you aware.
Exactly what I said. He was like “oh it was posted recently, I was out yesterday and didn’t see it.”
I said to the sales manager “you’re telling me you don’t have your salesman pull recalls? He literally knew I was driving 2+ hours to get here. Theres no way you guys just noticed this.” He apologized and said it was human error but whatever
i get it, just fucking annoyed.

Rightfully so. Not that this helps but as I understand it they CAN sell you the vehicle, they just can't let you take delivery until the repair is complete. If you're not in a hurry get them to come down on the price.

You should still be able to buy it, people bring vehicles back for recalls all the time.
I'm confused.
