I'm so glad that Ford isn't in charge of the food supply chain or the electric grid.

If it is truly a labor shortage, it's not about to get better. Next, people will be getting monthly rewards based on how many kids they have shit out; this is on top of monthly bonuses for not working.

We are free falling.

You're right, it is just a car.

However, it is also a microcosm of the challenges businesses are having getting people off their couches and back to work.

Here's another way to look at labor supply/demand: What percentage of jobs in the USA today really need more than a 5-10 day OJT orientation?

Fine, then your Bronco cost just went up. Ford won't simply eat that labor cost increase.

Then cost of everything else goes up from bread all the way to your 75 inch tv. The money doesn't pop out of thin air and the consumer will eat the expense thus eliminating any increase in pay they received.

Here is a novel concept...gain a marketable skill and you can determine your own worth.

fixed it for you...

Yep, I gave up WildTrak because the all black everything needed the Mod top to be black as well, It was painfully obvious months ago that it being available in 2022 did not mean in January (or Spring for that matter), if they get it done at all, might just blacken up the MIC some more. When they gave up on the tops for the FE's, there was no doubt that they supplier stopped working on it. Once (if) the MIC is sorted out, then maybe they will start on the Mod top. Different material, so different factory (at least different line). I expect they announce late 2022 availability for the Mod top next December. Once people figure out the GY tires did not get the three peak snow rating, I expect the WT orders will fall even further.
Send mine with Bimini and ill pickup the hard top when avilable......

Well most TVs are made over seas, so probably not the best example. But let's pull on that thread a little bit anyway. Perhaps 75 inch TVs shouldn't be so accessible. If it requires labor so cheap that people need to work 3 jobs to survive, to provide this luxury to middle class... are the scales really balanced?

Why hasn't the person having to work 3 jobs gained a marketable skill? Let me guess. It's somebody else fault.

Well, worth as far as pay, yes.
Worth as a person? No.
A person who has put in the time, training, and experience in a skilled trade should always make more than a fry cook or a cashier. Not that those jobs are looked down upon by me, as they are not, I've done both.
The issue is some people view those types of jobs and Part Time jobs as a means to make a living, and frankly, for a multitude of reasons, they aren't and never will be.
They are meant as a way to gain some work experience and dedication while you work on what your longer-term job in life will be. For most.
Single parent, struggling, unable to do anything other than PT work due to child care hours/cost? I get it. And my empathy flows from all corners of my being for those people who are TRULY struggling and in that situation due to circumstance.
Not for those who are in that position because they either don't want to pass a drug test or work hours interfere with gaming time.
People do deserve a living wage that can provide for their families comfortably vs the cost of living.
However, you simply can't have a Bronco FE lifestyle on a Wal-Mart payscale.
Welders, painters, electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, Auto techs, Carpenters: They all learned their trade through a lot of trial and error, effort, hot, long days, and investment in tools and themselves.
Doctors, Surgeons, Judges, Teachers: They invested time and $ and a lot of struggling college years to get to where they are.
All of the above DO deserve more pay than a minimum wage job, and it has nothing to do with worth as a person. It is worth as a skill set.
It's called "Minimum wage" for a reason.

I've never had to, know why? I have a marketable skill. I could walk out of this building now and have a job before my car makes it out of the parking deck. I could also work pretty much anywhere in the country I want. I have done all this without a college education and just applying myself from a young age. The problem with most people is that they are lazy.

Many do understand this is the socialist utopia they dreamed of.......its not gonna be good for a while. Hoping 2022 will straighten a lot of this out.
