Had same problem with dominator d6 steps. Rusty right out of the box backside where brackets go was raw steel. Did not go on my Bronco needless to say.

Contact them, I’m looking to get those, but not if they won’t last.

This^^^^^^^^^. Give them a chance to look at it and if necessary make things right. I am sure they will take care of any manufacturing defects. They seem like a reputable company. I was looking at those before I found a second-hand set of OEM boards. They are a great design.

It’s my second issue with an IAG product. The first one took paint off my car from the soft top struts. At least this one won’t damage my car.

well that blows.. i've seen the thread on the struts a while back and now this on the rail step. i was planning on picking these up when mine came in, but perhaps I just need to go with a full replacement rail.

please let us know how it goes with IAG.. watching.

So normal, or a repeated issue? He got his replaced from what I remember.
I guess you'll have to contact IAG. I don't see a big deal. But you aren't happy so you should inquire with their customer service reps.

I thought I read that they have a lifetime warranty on their website. I would contact them. They are cool guys over there.

No issues with ours. IAG seems pretty stand up. Just reach out to them. We have the Soft Top Struts, Hood Struts and 4 of the V2 Steps. Zero issues.

Love the IAG full steps but had a similar touch of rust issue after a few weeks. I’m sure it is hard to get paint/powder coat into all the nooks and crannies. I just brushed it off and gave it a good coat of Fluid Film.

It's why I went with AR Magnums, higher price but solid aluminum.

I did just buy the ez lift struts though, I think they ironed out the issues with them.

New struts are flawless from our experience. Still a chunk of paint missing tho. I cheaped out and went with their side steps. Maybe not be a huge issues, but rust after the first rain is a bit concerning.

Mine were the ones replaced. The other ones lasted 3 weeks and maybe 3 washes/rains before they started. They replace them and you can see they are noticeably thicker coating. That being said my replacements have started again on 2 of them... i think i may just get some matte black paint and touch them up in those spots. i suspect i'll have to replace them in 4 years because they'll have rusted so bad here in MN winters. I'm not going thru returning them again. Cost me $35 to return ship them but when they sent me the replacements they 2 day shipped them so that was nice. They were great to deal with and i'm happy with that but the steps are a little disappointing to deal with this but idk that i'm gonna replace them unless i get their V3 version where they drop down a little further. i have the V2 and they are still a little high for me.
