I like the look of those but do they fit rock rails? Doesn't look like it. And with the B6G discount on AR's billet aluminum steps I think I'll be going that route.

Nope, the rock rails have to be removed for the Greenlane ones to be installed.

For those that have been taking these on and off, are they damaging the OEM rock rails at all?

What type of rail do you add the IAG step to? Is this the ford oenology rail?

I am getting the Full length to protect with rock chips. Think its just another layer of protection.

I’m not sure what the rail is called, but they attach to the OEM rock rails that come stock on the BD and BL trims.

I went with the full length steps. I was worried they’d cause too much of a lowering effect on my stock BD, but I don’t think it made that much of a difference. They are definitely in the way of my husband (6’3) getting in and out. I’m 5’10, and while they aren’t in my way, they are a little awkward for me to use (they set me up too high when getting in, but they help prevent me from sliding off my seat when I get out). They are perfect for my girls (11 and 5 years old). I think they only thing I wish would’ve been different, appearance wise, would be to have them run the same width the whole way through.

I’ve had mine off a couple of times, no damage at all. IAG uses a neoprene like material on the brackets that clamp to the factory rock rails.

The screw will bite into the back side of the step. I fitted some stainless washers and neoprene washers where the screws hit the factory rock rails. I was concerned about rust over time.

I had this thought too. Haven't pulled the trigger on the steps yet. How did you arrange the washers to prevent the screw scratching through the powder coating?

The stainless washers were small enough that the studs securing the step could center on the washer hole but not go through. The neoprene washer went between the stainless washer and the factory step.

That's an excellent idea! Did you glue the washers together or just let pressure hold the neoprene in place?

Pressure was enough. When I removed the steps after some number of months to swap to the Greenlane aluminum steps there was no damage to the factory sliders.

They are sturdy and look good on the truck. The powder coating is holding up well, they still look like new. I haven’t tried using them as rock sliders, I would expect damage if I do in the future. I would like Greenlane to expand their aluminum offerings for the Bronco. A light weight winch bumper or mount and a similar rear bumper would be awesome.
