Yes! Actual 2 mpg loss
I assumed that, just had to ask! How are you liking the tires? I really appreciate that video, answered a ton of questions so very good guidance on what to do as soon as I get mine which is supposed to arrive by December.

Thanks for watching! I am happy with them. Good off road traction, and not too much road noise. I think they are a good balance of on-road and off-road capability. Two down sides I have noticed:
- As others have also reported, they do tend to pick up rocks and then launch them when you get moving above 30 mph or so
- A couple times when it has been raining, and I am giving it good gas while going around a bend in 2WD (rear only), the back end has gotten a little squirrely on me. I think this is probably going to be the case with most all terrain tires, but something to be aware of

PS: new video dropping in about an hour...

@Timinpgh thanks for the inspiration! Here is my base with a 2.7l engine. I added the 2in leveling kit from Rough Country and I am happy with the look.

Looks great!! The lift makes a big difference, yours looks less 'stuffed' than mine.

What brand and size tires? Looks great. Also was the Rough Country a diy install or did a shop do it?

@West1
These are the exact tires recommended in the video from the beginning of the post, just without the white lettering facing out.

General Grabber ATX 285/75 R16.

The lift was something I had the shop do because I didn’t want the whole ‘it will void your warranty’ conversation.

$2690 added on at the dealership.

@beachkw I went to Discount Tire and got the price for 5 of these tires, $1278 here in TX, and said I would get them there. The GM of the dealership wanted me to get everything with them so he price matched that. I know you may think $1412 for a lift might be a little much, I have no clue, but I didn't want to deal with 'this is out of warranty due to that lift'.

Mine has this leveling kit as well, for $149.

Oh Snap, it's Budget Bronco! I've seen a couple of your vids since they showed up in my YT suggestions. Congrats on the Bronco and thanks for the cool content. Loved how you got in there to show off the new tire fitment, on and off compression. Neat stuff that I've never really thought of before. If i'm ever able to afford one of these, i may actually know what i'm doing when it comes time to start picking and choosing upgrades.

Well unfortunately the price of tires in general has gone up a lot since I bought them, so it looks like right now on Amazon they are listed at $245 each (they were under $200 a little over a year ago!) so that would be $1225 for the tires and I paid $120 to mount and balance them.

I'll be honest, I am loving the look of beefier tires on the base rims, or very "simple" retro rims. All these fancy ass wheels on an off road vehicle, including the stock wheels on my hopefully soon to be built badlands just seem wrong. Just one man's opinion.
