I've been taught how 35-inch tires are a no-go for the base bronco, would 285s rub against the bronco? Also what wheels do yall recommend?

We know 265/70R17 will fit (Black Diamond) and 285/70R17 are on the Badlands without a lift. It may come down to what you run for wheels (offset/backspacing) to know if it clears or not.

Badlands has a lift above Base-OB. But the backspacing is all the same, so you can go as wide as a 285 on the +55mm backspacing without worrying it will interfere with the Upper Control Arm.

The gearing would be wrong and you would need to regear.

The badlands with the 33"s has a different suspension than the BD BB OB. But it may fit. The 32"s would fit because that what BD BB and OB come with.

The badlands has the m210. Not the m190.
In jeep terms this is a dana 44 vs the dana 30.
With no front locker the dana 30 may hold up to 33s. But it all depends how you drive it.

My Base is coming with 4.46 gears. What ratio do you think is appropriate ?
It depends on the transmission you are getting. You need lower gears with the manual.
The truck I have now with a manual, has a 4.636 ratio and I would consider that minimum for a 33" tire.
You would be fine for a 32" tire with what you have.
It is more on road where you notice the difference. When off road you just end up using low range more often.

4.46 will work fine with 33" tires. There is no need to regear.
