I had the passenger side and if I opened all the way to 120, the Bronco door opened to about 90 (with 2 bikes on my 1up and a 35" spare).. I returned it and went with driver side. I'll soon have a spare tire license plate bracket, so not worried about the license plate being blocked.Do you think you could post a pic with the rack with a bike and the Bronco door open all the way? The only reason I bought the drivers side was that I did not think you could open the back Bronco door all the way. It does block the plate. I looked all over the net and did not see anyone with a Bronco and passenger extension so I bought this one just to be safe. If that works I will be returning this one. Thanks.
Hey, I wonder how it would work with 2 I am on the fence about the side (driver VS passenger). I want to go with the passenger, but I am not sure if it would open enough with 2 bikes.hope this works, door opens at both 90 and 120 detent positions. let me know if you need any more to inform your decision.
yes, the pivot goes out to 120. On paper it says the door goes out to 120 but itās more like 110. So really itās perfect because the door will stop right around there and the 10 degree difference will let the tire sit just right close to the bike. I have changed racks to the NV 2.0 since I took this pic of my old sherpa, and I carry two big mountain bikes all the time, I never have issues with clearance. Maybe if you had a fat Bike itād be a bigger problem. I can take a pic tomorrow of it when I go riding with my bike on the inner tray.Hey, I wonder how it would work with 2 I am on the fence about the side (driver VS passenger). Thanks, please do. I ordered NV 2.0 Base and will use it with 2 bikes so I need to decide which side I need to have the Pivot.yes, the pivot goes out to 120. Hereās some pics. Idk what anyone would need more clearance for unless youāre hauling lumber haha, passenger side is safer too in terms of staying out of traffic. And doesnāt block the plate. Join the Santa Cruz gang if you havenāt alreadyYes! Thank you! Great bike, by the way!
I will. I used to be a downhiller, but I quit, now I am slowly coming back, starting from simple trails But SC is on my wish list for sureJoin the Santa Cruz gang if you havenāt already
This looks good. Does the bike tire hit the rear fender when opened all the way? Iām also torn on drivers side vs passenger side. If I were using a basket on the Kuat at the beach with a table top grill or similar Iād want the drivers side, but for anything else Iād rather have passenger side and not block the plate.Hereās some pics. My bike in particular does rest against the rear, as you can see in pic 4, but thatās largely because itās an XL 29er with a 49 inch wheelbase, so it sticks out quite a bit beyond my rack. However, my girlfriends bike and my buddies size L 29er donāt do this. My road bike doesnāt touch at all. Not sure if this helps at all yeah..the plate block was big for me because Iāve got blacked out windows up front and donāt want to give the cops any more reason to pull me over. This looks good. That's cool! How did you get 20% off?I ordered the passenger side today. The 20% off at JensenUSA was the best deal Iāve seen at $318.40 shipped.
I didnāt do anything specific, the 20% off showed up when I added it to the cart last week. Iāve never shopped with them before. That's cool! How did you get 20% off?
