Installing a sway Bar Disconnect

I have a non-Sasquatch Black Dimond and I was wondering if anyone new of a way to instal a sway bar disconnect and if it had to be manual or if I could wire it to one of the 6 auxiliary switches.

I have heard of someone local who has added the electronic disconnect to a Wildtrak and wired it to an aux switch but have no direct details.

If I didn't have them already, this is what I would get. The push button version adds complexity, which in this spot isn't ideal. I think you'll also spend nearly twice as much and you have to wire them.

I didn't know about the Rock Jock product until recently. It looks appealing.

Another choice is to remove the links and run disconnected all the time.

Consider taking the whole sway bar off for a while and see if you're OK with how it handles. Put it back on after a week if you don't like it. That's what I did, and never put it back on. Flexes better off-road and I don't really miss it on-road.

are the end links in the disconnects right AND left hand thread? curious cuz @acfab only used RH threaded heims. cool, thx for that so now you have to constantly put them on and off to get it set up and fine tuned. it also sucks when the mounts get tweaked and then have to fight them off. my $300 set is permanently disconnected. only thing i can't do is take sharp flat corners fast on the road. not a biggie really.

OP, like dusty said, just disconnect your factory links and drive around. hit an empty lot and do some gradual swerving to see how it effects your driving.

If it is like the 97 and 04 jeep I had when the swaybar link broke it would cup the front tires so be aware

i had an alignment done with sway disconnected and they didn't say anything about prior issues, nor did the spec sheet

I'm not sure on the end link threads. I guess I assumed they are LH/RH. I'll find out tomorrow when they are delivered.
