Has anyone seen this? Looks like these guys cracked the ECM and have built a custom tune for the 2.7L Bronco. These are some impressive results.

What issues do the valves have with "holding power?"

The typical YouTube click bait is in full force here..."500 CHP?" No.

They baselined at 296hp/360tq. They topped out at 404hp/498tq. That's +108hp/138tq.

Factory crank rating is 330hp/415tq. How do you add 108 to 330 and get "500+?"

A generous 20% drivetrain loss would give it 500 HP at the crank. Not saying that's accurate in any way, especially when compared to the factory rating at the crank, but that's my guess on how they came up with that number. Still click bait.

drivetrain loss is calculated as a percentage. haven't watched the vid, but from the numbers here back calculating drivetrain loss

330 - (330*.1) = 297 (vs measured 296)
415 - (415*.13) = 361.05 (vs measured 360)


500 - (500*.2) = 400 (vs 404 measured)
using same 10% drivetrain loss as baseline
450 - (450*.1) = 405 (vs 404 measured)

Too many variables to know for sure, but you're much closer than them (438 vs 500+).
Doubling drivetrain loss is disingenuous.

Those gains seem really inflated with just a K&N and a tune on pump fuel. More like gains with downpipes, intercooler and E85 tune. I’m sure it’s still fun though

If they can tell you tuned it, expect almost anything engine/trans/drivetrain to be voided. Big hp/torque will break all those things quicker and they won't want to cover free replacements bc you pushed your car to the limit. Also, there are many crappy tuners out there that can jack your engine up running too lean, too much timing, not enough fueling etc and Ford won't want to cover their screwups. Your dealer may vary though. Some can be more lenient

Agree. The F-150 2.7 tune only on 93 is really only good for 370-375. I have seen E50 with downpipes and Intercooler make 440ish, though.

Yes. My son works as a diesel mechanic and has a "deleted" 6.0 Powerstroke. His shop only does factory warranty and factory authorized repairs, but they get a ton of folks coming in with custom programming and deleted vehicles. As a result, they won't warranty anything because they are working as a factory authorized agent to do the work. Bottom line, is warranty would be void with a custom program/map/delete.

There was some talk about a performance tune that Ford would be releasing directly that wouldn’t void warranty, anyone heard anything about that recently?
