The way I’m interpreting it is customer orders are still the priority, but if they can’t build a special/ customer order due to tops or other parts shortages, but can build other configurations for dealer stock, they will.

I mean, it‘s a shitty situation for everyone. Can’t blame them if they can only build certain configurations consistently.

For me, I was kicking around the possibility of having to pass on the Bronco so I can buy a new truck. Now I can just buy a new truck later this year or early next year and the Bronco will just work itself out whenever Ford can get their shit together and actually let me order what I want.

There are in stock right now a total of 14 new passenger vehicles and 6 commercial vehicles at my nearest dealer, which is fairly large. The situation is not good.
Yea it's crazy. The nearest Ford dealer to me has always been flush with 100s of cars. Now I drive past and the lot is almost empty, and any cars they have appear to be used.

This right here. If you need stock to sell, fine. I've seen the dealer lots lately, they're wastelands.

But the second that a carbon grey 2dr MIC top tow pkg with overhead switches rolls out that isn't mine or another reservation holder's?

There will be hell to pay.
I haven't confirmed it, but what I read about the Tow pkg....could be BIG TIME issues that Ford has Zero effect on. The US and whatever country are having a pissing match on tariffs/customs bullshit, so no / little product from said country is making it through.

Multiple dealers on here have said that ford will build dealer stock. They want to fill the schedule up so they’re maximizing production.

The last time I was in a big 3 automotive plant was 2017 I believe. I can’t begin to explain why or how they were doing it, but they were using windows xp for their line equipment. Got me to think a little bit. Windows xp is a very reliable os but......if Ford uses that to handle our orders, I’m a little more concerned.....😟

What I get from that is that Ford has a chip problem except for the full size Bronco (which they stockpiled beforehand)...their dealers have dwindling supplies of cars and trucks on their lots. What’s the hottest vehicle they have right now, even in higher demand than their pickup trucks..yep the full size Bronco.

will dealers get 2.7, lux and Sasquatch.. I would bet yes, as I don’t believe those commodities are truly in trouble for reservation holders but add in dealers and they become a lot more difficult to fill orders. I think softops will be 99% of Bronco’s you see on lots. I do think your dealers “original allocation” from converted reservations will all be my21 and delivered by end of October and some of the special FE’s through NOV.

I am also thinking you will see a lot of dealer FE’s from that additional batch of First Editions Ford added..so you will probably see them on the lot for sale before a lot of reserved FE’s get them.
