Just wanted to clear up a few misunderstandings regarding the broadcast capture!

First off, this is definitely not an AI-generated image or a photoshop edit. As @Sunday Money correctly pointed out, CBS Evening News was airing archival B-roll footage from prior flood events in Texas (which is why CBS placed the "JULY 2025" tag in the top right corner during the broadcast).

The photo I posted is literally just a direct picture taken off my TV screen during the broadcast at the ~1:50 mark of the segment (CBS News YouTube link).

For those skeptical about the physics or damage of flood-stacked vehicles: raging floodwaters lift and float vehicles, often wedge-stacking them on top of one another as water levels recede without the high-impact crush damage you’d see in a highway crash. As @CalvinT noted, the realistic suspension compression/extension, tire seating, and matching natural shadows in both the broadcast clip and the separate TikTok angle prove it's a real-world event.

I just thought it was an unbelievable visual to share with the community when I saw it on the news. No AI or tricks here—just the crazy power of floodwaters caught on broadcast news!

No visible damage to any of the three. Not even any hood collapse on the rear bronco where the jeep tire is or the jeep's roof there the front bronco's rear end is sitting on it. No way you get under another vehicle without severe damage to your front end.

All three vehicles are showroom spotless.

If you watch the video that @Sunday Money posted you'll see there was significantly more vehicles involved. This was a flood event and what you see is the aftermath. It's how and where the water left them. The majority probably had no drivers at the time and were just swept away.

This proves nothing about these trucks, but one evening several years ago a family friend that I had just picked up at Hartsfield and I watched with our own eyes as 3 cars smacked one after another on the Atlanta Downtown Connector I-75/I-85 northbound at the Brookwood Split.
Stacked up exactly as these trucks did. No broken glass and crumpled sheet metal as each car slid under the car in front of it.
I told her “happens all the time……”
