I get hell forever for waving ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ I wonder what this poster will get.

I hope they take my mindset and tell the masses to ๐Ÿ–•๐Ÿผ and ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ and use their ducks ๐Ÿฆ†.

Thatโ€™s my 2 cents.

I wave to Jeeps and Broncos. Off road lover is an off road lover. It was all in good fun.

Throughout this thread people posting love photos in the wild of ducks and having good fun with it. Itโ€™s a blast to engage and share the culture with the crew. ๐Ÿงจ

The only thing that is funny and worth poking fun at is the bone stock base model Jeeps with 100 ducks. lol
I mean if they are having fun with it, then so be it.. Lots of bone stock Broncos, mall crawler Broncos etc.. Some people do not want to modify their Jeep or Bronco and some people have zero intention of ever taking either off-road.

I say more power to 'em as it's their vehicle.. If a bone stock Jeep wants to rock 100 ducks then that's cool by me.. Maybe each duck they have entails a cool story or memory on how they got it..

it was a post in good fun. Like I mentioned in a post before in the this thread I took early retirement package from Chrysler/FCA. I was global head of motorsports and product placement. Owned more Rubicons than I can count, Vipers, and SRT products. Once I retired Iโ€™ve been Ford all the way. F150โ€™s, Raptor, and now a Bronco (I never will sell). The only thing that is funny and worth poking fun at is the bone stock base model Jeeps with 100 ducks. lol
I'd be more inclined to make fun of a Rubicon with all those ducks, given the owner probably doesn't off-road, else those ducks would be flying all over. :)

Back in the day I use to off-road in a mostly stock CJ. Ducks weren't a thing back then. Ducks + wildly overspending on unused functionalities is grounds for a bit of ribbing.

I prefer hula dancers for my dash, and throwing shaka instead of waving. It's a bit more classy than waterfowl ๐Ÿ˜

I personally don't like the duck thing. I'm pretty anti Jeep culture in general. I mean that specifically for the "it's a jeep thing..." cultists. They're not hurting me, but I'm allowed to think it's dumb. Brilliant marketing by Jeep to convince so many people to buy their products to be part of a 'community' of sorts, but...still dumb. I tend to file ducks in the same rubbish bin as 37s on vehicles with stock suspensions that don't see dirt. I view them something akin to virtue signalling, trying to rep some sort of image and it makes me roll my eyes.

They are a different breed from the offroad enthusiast who prefers Jeeps to other offroad choices. My observation there is, that they'll give you crap about driving a Bronco or Toyota, or whatever, then have a beer with you after you get finished wheeling together. Most of those guys will respect your filthy Badlands that's packing pin stripes and battle scars over that Rubicon that sees dirt only in the parking lot of their kid's soccer games. I don't see many jeeps with ducks that look like they are legit offroaders. Mall crawlers on 37s, sure. Legit offroaders don't need a duck to show someone "a jeep thing" they need dirt and rocks.

If they are having fun with it, who cares?

I was a long time Jeep owner (since the mid 80's) and while the duck thing would not have been for me if it were going on when I owned Jeep's, let them have at it if they find it fun and goofy..

No need to obsess over what others do or enjoy..
Sorry if I have offended. I didn't mean anything serious, just joking around about seeing ducks in odd and a growing number of places.

I'm not serious like the Klingon was when he told Scotty that the Enterprise should be hauled away "aaass garrrbage..."

I donโ€™t think anyone in our group here or chat โ€˜Ducksโ€™ is taking it all too serious. I mean Iโ€™m not nor are the replies Iโ€™ve seen. Itโ€™s all in good fun. I mean who doesnโ€™t laugh at the AI generated social media videos where โ€˜fill in the blankโ€™ truck brand has two dudes holding hands and kissing making fun of certain brands. Being brand loyal is half the fun. Chevy guys pick on Ford owners, or RAM owners. And all American brands make fun of Toyota owners. Itโ€™s hilarious. When weโ€™re all off road knee deep in the mud and tackling trails everyone gets along great. Wellโ€ฆ. Until someone gets stuck and all the Broncos are past the hazard. Then the trash talk commences. We are all a different breed of messed up to want to take expensive vehicles into the woods and tackle terrain (rocks, boulders, mud, sketchy elevation). ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿคกโ˜ ๐Ÿ†
