also at MOAB this guy nearly falls off the side of a cliff by depressing clutch and letting it free wheel backwards...so pick your spots carefullyAlways remember to keep your arms/legs inside if this ever happens to you and always wear your seatbelt off road. Example of driver error in line choice and this an extreme situation of where a manual offroad can potentially save you in a case like this *if* you’re prepared for it. You’ve got more control with an auto and that’s why they’re generally preferred for rock crawling. However, unless you have your hand on the shifter ready to pop it into neutral when you get too far off camber, you can end up in situations like this while doing serious crawling. With a manual, you can depress the clutch to let it freewheel and you might be able to save it. Stock roll cage thankfully held up very well. No injuries. Anyways, here it is:
