I have driven at 80mph with the factory top folded all the way back and with jtop shade. While there is little waving/flappimg of the top due to wind, there is zero noise. Kids were comfortable in the back and we could have regular conversation. Highly recommend this top.

They are to help remove the hooks.
We have determined they are unnecessary and should be cut off.
This was a case of trying a little to hard to add a helpful feature.

4) Note to those re-installing the soft top brackets - you may need to readjust the forward/rear placement to make sure the top latches correctly on *both* sides. I know this may be common sense to some, but I can see some missing the fact that the passenger side may not clasp all the way.
If your top is lined up properly, you can mark the location of the washers with a pencil or sharpie (before removing the bracket) so you can just put them back in the same place.

As far as the loops on the front, they are a great place to store your nunchucks in the event of a hostile takeover situation, so think twice before trimming off.

@JTopsUSA Mike, can you provide the model/serial/etc. of the 3M hook & Loop you provide?
I'd like to keep some spare on hand, just in case...

I just got back from a 300 mile trip with the JTop installed and it is awesome. One question, has anyone had the front edge flip up at highway speeds or when a semi truck passes by? We had this happen a number of times and had to put the top up. Thanks

We will send more. It’s only available in bulk. We are also going to start recommending and shipping 3M adhesion promoter. After the surface is cleaned with the alcohol wipes the promoter is applied. We don’t quite understand why out of the hundreds of tops we shipped why a few are having issues. Most are from not installing it properly but a few have followed the instructions to the T and have an issue.
A customer was curious if a ceramic polish might have been applied.
Send us a request through support @jtopsusa.com

Tim, we replied to this via email. It has happened and we are sent the magnet kit. Also this illustrates the importance of the front edge being tight against the rubber windshield gasket.

Can you advise if the different color shades block more heat or light? I'm assuming the black would of course block more light and the black would maybe make it hotter? Can you provide some insight?
