I'm taking my son to the Off-Roadeo in a few months, and he'll have just turned 12. But, he doesn't have any sort of ID. Do they check for anything like that? I don't want to get him there and find out that I didn't bring appropriate paperwork, and he's not going to be able to attend, or that we wasted a trip completely.

Just give the folks at the Off Rodeo a call. I am sure they have the answer and are very helpful people. I called a couple of times before I attended mine and was very impressed with them. Good luck and have fun.

A fake mustache and some mirror aviators gets anyone in anywhere...

I remember I was so tall at 11/12 (6' already) I couldn't get free cookies at the grocery bakery without my older sister or parents. But my (5' 5") brother got them 'til he was 15. lol 🤐

I found out in my younger/wilder days that you can get around almost anywhere by simply acting like you're supposed to be there. But now I agree with drewski, give them a call, the off roadeo people really are great

it's no big deal. you ALL will have to sign a waiver, but since he's a minor, you will have to fill it out for him. You'll be fine. Have a blast!

I took my 13-year-old, and I didn’t have to show them anything. As long as you’ve registered him as a guest, you can sign everything for him…

I don’t see why he wouldn’t be allowed. I think you pay for the passenger and sign the waiver that you break you buy, but they only check my Id bc I was driving

That's great that they're not checking ID. I could bring his birth certificate, but I'd prefer not to travel with it. He's a tall, mature 11 (soon to be 12) and I didn't think there would be a whole lot of questions asked, just wanted to make sure I didn't need to travel with any sort of identification.

I'll give them a call to verify, but wanted to see what peoples experiences were in the real world.

I strongly suggest reaching out to them. I emailed offroadeo multiple times and always got answers to my questions.

I went this past summer with my 12 year old. No questions at all.

I come to this site multiple times a day in hopes of reading a post that literally makes me laugh out loud. This is that post. Well done, and thanks.
