I dreamed about buying a crate jeep (for 50 bucks!!!) when I was a kid in the 80s. That was the first vehicle I ever wanted. You could still find that ad in the back of some magazines even then. I've always wondered if any of those were really available and not just a scam. ?Buy a matching crate M416 for your crate Jeep
My wife and I watched a couple videos last night. I’m thinking a T@b 400 is definitely in our future. Thanks for the heads up!3,500 lb tow vehicles handle T@b trailers just fine.
I don't have the lifted version, but I love my teardrop!
Hiker has a used for sale group on Facebook that ALWAYS has trailers come up for sale. Since the waitlist is long, they go quickly. They have a really long wait, but they have good quality trailers from what I've read. I think right now their Indiana wait is 9 months and Colorado wait is 12.
I liked this a lot, but then started reading articles and watching video reviews and it might not be the best thing if you're planning on doing serious offroading. Also, it's bigger in person than it looks.
The 400 is a nice trailer for sure. I've been trying to sell my in-laws on one, but they are too busy spending money on their boat right now...My wife and I watched a couple videos last night. I’m thinking a T@b 400 is definitely in our future. Thanks for the heads up!

id say he knows his way around a welder, or at least seen one on tv! LOLI'm using the old military M416 4x6 foot trailer as a general guideline for the chassis dimensions and building what I want up from there. I'll take my work laptop home one of these weekends and draw it up in CAD. Should be able to get all the materials cut and shaped myself. Already talked to one of welders about handling that end of things. He does alright work I suppose.
I love the Airstream but when a 16ft camper trailer costs as much or maybe a little more than my Bronco will, that's out of the question for me. More power to those who can afford that though.I was looking at the Airstream Basecamp yesterday : https://www.airstream.com/travel-trailers/basecamp/
Still need to do lots of research on this but I do like that Opus!!
No, it should pull it fine. You just only have 600lbs for water and gear. After water, you’re at about 480lbs of gear in the trailer. The below specs are to the Mantis made by this company.
would this be to much for the V6 Bronco to pull.
Anyone?

It looks like a SWAT vehicle ?Planning to order one of these...Bruder Exp-4
Dude don't wait until your kids grow up to get out there with them. I was out camping with my parents before I could walk, and all we had was a tent because we were too poor to afford any kind of camper at the time. Humans survived for thousands of years outside before heat and air conditioning. You'll miss some great memories with them if you wait until they "grow up".I don't know anything about overlanding beyond what I've started to see here, but it's one of the areas I want to get into as my kids grow up (currently 2 & 3) and plan to learn and built it out once I get my Bronco. I love all these trailers but now hate that I'm 6'4," I'll just curl up in the Bronco and everyone else can sleep in the pop-up.
My plan also, self-contained and minimal. I don't plan on staying in one spot for more than 2 days, I want to explore. A t@b or teardrop would be cool but starting out I think I'm gonna try and be as self-contained as possible, rooftop tent and whatever I can strategically fit into a 2-dr Bronco.I always try to be as minimal as possible when I'm roughing it.
I just looked this camper. It appears it is built and shipped from Australia. It’s the placed in a shipping container and delivered to you for the average shipping price of $5,000 US dollars. It looks like a SWAT vehicle ?
