Concur with what others have said. With all the problems they have and the fact you’d have ZERO chance at Ford warranting any defects if you bought it used, no way would I drop $6k on a MIC.

Anderson’s tops are licensed carbon copies but made with better materials for the same price. And they are in customer’s hands today.

ADV’s has a unique design for $1k more.

Doesn’t seem like the risk on the OEM top is worth it to me

Obvious answer: how bad do you want it? Price is fair for current market. That may change though.

But what if new is not available? 🤔

People have priced a piecemealed over the counter MIC top in the 10-12k range with most parts being on back order.

As far as buying a used MIC for $6k, guaranteed you're not gonna find one cheaper.
There’s this one…

Unless you believe this guy…

Just be careful - almost all top ads are scams. People just copy a photo of one and then sell it as their own.
🤷🏻‍♂️

IMO, if you didn't wait and get a hardtop from factory the ship has sailed on that option unless you want to spend a dumb amount of extra money on an already overpriced vehicle no matter which option you choose. My .02 is to just roll with the softop - it deff has its advantages too. If you are just worried about looks get a trektop for about $2k and sell your factory softop for about same price.

Put in an order for a new Bronco with a hardtop. Trade yours for the new one.

6 grand is the street price. Is what it is.

This is true, I reported at least three accounts on IG for spamming ads for OE hardtops.

With as sketchy as these tops are there is no way I would pay over about $1500 for one. I would wait for ADV to become normal in pricing or for another competitor. Good luck getting a warranty claim when it starts delaminating or randomly cracking as I feel all these MIC tops will develop issues at some point.

I didn't mean to come across like I was holier than thou and now I see I kinda sounded that way. I was a few days away from dropping hardtop and sas for the Ford $2500 offer and had been shopping Bestop and alternatives for weeks. I was very fortunate to get the scheduled email when I did.

I wish Bestop 1) made a square back top and 2) you could upgrade to it from the factory the way you can with Jeep.
Agreed. Personally I don't care for the soft top "fastback" look or loss of some interior space, and would like a soft top that folds all the way down. Hopefully someday we will have that available for the 2-door.

Man, I bought my TJ hardtop used in excellent condition for $800. The Jeep world is great in that way, I wonder how long (if ever at this rate) we will get to that point with Bronco.

I would throw out a low offer. Depends on how bad you want/need it. Going into warmer weather I would say that he may be sitting on it for awhile.

Found a Bronco owner near my location selling their MIC after changing to a Bestop. He got his Bronco 3 months ago. He's asking $6k.

Bronco Reddit said it's probably worth more like $3k or hold off for aftermarket... Looking at you Adv Performance.

I know it's worth what someone is willing to pay. I like the soft top for ease of use and ability on the fly to open the roof but I prefer the look of the hard top and aftermarket roof racks.

Thoughts?
Its worth $6,000 if you dont like your soft top. And if its close by, it'll save you shipping. I have the MIC top, and I have a Besttop Skyrider that I will use 6+ months of the year (rear cap stays on). No matter what you have, its not perfect, each has its advantages. Originally, many of us wanted the dual top, which is both options. Personally, my MIC top is well made, but due to its multi-piece construction. It has wind noise. If you really want a quiet top, and dont plan to remove it, like a F150, the Advanced Fiberglass Composites has a one piece top for $6,000 before shipping. White, black or primer. People spend way more than $6,000 on tires and suspension. What's important to you!?

You are very right. I enjoyed the soft top but I ended up getting him down to $5k and did it. I love the look... I also love the roof racks for it.

Early on, the insurance claims to replace the hard tops were being quoted at close to $10K. I don't know what they are now or if they've changed pricing wise at all.. In that context, it's a good deal. Is it a deal I would go for? eeeeeeeh. Get a cheaper soft top and wait for the after market to mature a bit and you'll find better tops for less at some point.

I have an early MIC 2.0 top and have a post somewhere with 60+ pages of other early Bronco owners having issues. My top has held up well but is quite noisy on the freeway.

I took the $2500 order change credit and $695 price drop for the soft top from Ford. Got scheduled the next week after changing my order. I bought a brand new takeoff OEM hardtop for $5000 right after delivery.

All said, I basically paid $1805 for Dual Tops and got my price protected order a few months before I would have otherwise.

$5000 was the very highest I was willing to pay, but it was brand new and only 15 minutes away.

I think you made a very wise decision! And now, you have both tops! ( l like the color matched rings)!
