Is that MY Wildtrac?
Dealer demo (mannequin), with a blue window sticker.

BTW, you should consider updating your profile to remove your street address. I don’t think you want to advertise that much detail on the Internet.

Just making sure that everyone here knows this is a MIC 1.0. The person that posted this to Facebook came back confirmed that it was not a MIC 2.0.

How are posts promoted to “News” with a prominent location on the front page here? By post count or discretionary? Some other way?
Moderators chose these. Basically, info of significance will be called out usually or really popular threads (like the Thursday emails), which helps (kind of) control 100 similar threads being made. And some days I'm sure it's just a slow news day.

Examples of what you can see as "news" on the main page:

  • Significant dates on orders opening, closing, etc.
  • What to expect for scheduling
  • New aftermarket accessories

Examples of what you will not see as "news" on the main page:

  • @Tricky Dick getting a new cat
  • "i'M cAnCeLlInG mY bRoNcO oRdEr"
  • "Ford owes me ______ because of this delay!!!"

Hope that helps.

Yeah helps a lot thanks. The effort is appreciated too as I'm sure it takes a ton of energy to moderate a site this large.

I think there's opportunity for more validation into what's featured - using this thread as an example - as it erodes credibility and adds a ton of traffic to threads with dubious/unverified claims.

And if they won't guarantee it you're willing to refuse the transaction and start the wait all over?
I would have to. This manufacturers defect is no different than any other. I would of course make huge stink of it everywhere I could.

It is beyond me how anyone at Ford would tell Webasto to build tops that looked as bad as MIC the 1st. And, it's even harder to understand why Webasto would even produce tops of that quality. I still say several heads should have rolled for those stupid decisions.

Here's pics on each of the seams on the 2.0 top at my local dealership.

It was just delivered to the dealership this week. 2dr Wildtrack.

The last photo (I think) shows a one piece section that doesn't come apart and it still has vastly uneven gaps! The other side looks fine.
