3,000 employees x $17 a plate catered = $51,000.

How about a sticker instead?
Ha, I had the same reaction! I love the idea but even for just one shift we're probably talking 15 grand. Maybe @618TRVLWILD could whip them up some Stiggers and we could all throw in on those 🤓

Well, I read the article and is not all good news as we though with the title. There is súper conductor shortage that is impacting the whole industry and that's why they have to schedule down weeks. Units inventory are low throughout the entire dealership network and it will get worse because Manufacturers won't be able to produce a full capacity.

They won't have the regular summer vacations because they will have down weeks on the production during this year.

Covid is a B$€ch!

Don’t get too excited... Ford is just keeping the plants open so they can skip more “Priority Orders” ahead of us. 🤣

Happy to see the worker gets to benefit from this. Forced mandatory time off is sort of a joke IMO

Normally it's the first 2 weeks of July
My dad worked at Ford for many years and as a kid, I remember being excited to get up to the Walter & May Reuther UAW Education Center at Black Lake. We used to camp for 2 weeks - best time ever growing up.

Plants typically use these summer shut downs to bring in new equipment to the line as well. My company builds equipment for automotive seats so we have installs going on around the summer shut downs and other shut downs around holidays through the year.

How many members in B6G?
$51,000 / 19,461 members = $2.62 each
$51,000 / 1,000 ACTIVE members = $51 each
$51,000 / 500 ACTIVE members who would actually contribute = $102 each

Number of people of the 500 that would actually pay after they say they will, maybe half.

This is true. Downtime is typically used to service existing equipment as well. Hopefully this doesn’t cause them to put off any needed maintenance that could cause issues later on.

I’m down to throw $100 in if this really becomes a thing
