I still want to know what group of execs. at Ford were canned for this screw up. Who in their right mind would single source your parts. Especially when it is a communist country.
They actually don’t single source. Recently announced a new partnership with global technologies. The issue is being resolved but challenges remain. Socialists would be more likely to single source so the your comment. doesn’t make sense.

You are lying!

I've read content from a lot of B6g forum members and this whole thing is JUST FORD, and it's on purpose and it's intentional to ensure that every single one of us has to suffer because Ford hates us.

Every other manufacturer is running at 100% capacity right now except Ford because Ford are the dummy dum-dums and hate us!!!!

Don't be sheep, read these forums and educate yourself, there is no global chip shortage, it's all smoke and mirrors to beguile you from the truth: Ford is trying not to build vehicles on purpose!

Looks like you are good to go if you like the Chicken and Waffles Potato Chips
chips are so popular right now though. Maybe you should consider pickles instead

Manufacturing and procurement is a mess right now. You’re supposed to get some, it doesn’t show up. You just get through telling everyone you have nothing, 33% of the original order shows up. You ship that and cautiously project you might get the same amount next date. You get nothing.
Its a crazy world right now. What irks me is this latest Raptor release. Enough with the promises Ford. Raptors by summer? Let’s get the current issues sorted hmm?

Just those builds with the Tow On them? Sorry, too soon?:censored:
Vehicle Visibility only shows VIN, dealer number and order number. each VIN would have to be plugged in with the order number into the Ford Vehicle Tracker, and then compared to all the others showing the holds. It does not appear to be only certain vehicles, but rather ALL built vehicles between a certain time window, like, say December 6th to January 8th (just a wild ass guess). This leads me to believe it's a feature on ALL vehicles like auto start/stop

I wonder if the ass chip is integral to fuel economy and therefore shipping assless is a big no no?
100% correct statement. To meet Federal "fleet" CAFE requirements (fleet meaning total stable of all vehicles offered by a manufacturer) the A.S.S. feature must be present, and permanently enabled at start-up.

"permanently enabled" meaning pertaining to the fact that the consumer can't set it to "always off" by how it is delivered new

Agree with you there. Figure out Bronco production first then launch the Raptor to throw some cold water on the 4Runner release.

So lets see, first Ford cannot develop and produce a hardtop, then we have chip delays, and now we have imploding 2.7L engines. I don't believe anything FORD says

Funny- I can see the EXACT information the Dealer sees, which is Vehicle Visibility, and for every dealer order bank I look at, the far right column under ETA Disposition, it says "Microchip At Plant On Hold". These are Broncos built in mid december and early January. Also, I seem to remember the press release last summer referring to the Launch of the Bronco not being affected.

EDIT: I want to be clear that it's not all Broncos, only some of them.
Can you look up my VIN? I heard a rumor the standard WT Hood Graphic might be the cause mine has been built for 3 weeks, but not left the In Production stage

So, why are exact builds like mine, built after me, getting delivered? I have been built for 3 weeks, and i know folks in December and earlier are built, still waiting to be shipped.

Because they push the incomplete builds aside (800 a day?), keeping the line moving. Then, a stash of missing parts arrive. The production line is prioritized for install, and those complete Broncos are shipped. The huge backlog of incomplete builds get parked, waiting for the missing part. Trying to find a specific VIN parked amongst thousands, may happen quickly, or it may not. This usually occurs on a day the line isnt running. So...given week 2/28 is a clean-up week, does that mean the backlog of incomplete builds will be addressed?

Sorry for the rant. I am a day 2 reservationist, been bumped 5 times, and now my truck is parked, awaiting a chip, or a decal, or who knows what.

Grrrrr....

The fact that we can't even immediately discount a rumor like that (or the one that Broncos are stuck waiting for unwanted start/stop modules) says it all about the level of communication from the Blue Oval.

It's too bad we don't have a MAP mole anymore because the untold stories must be absolutely amazing.

Ford's long-standing argument against communication is your dealer is supposed to communicate with you on your specific order. Which... honestly... I can't argue with. Technically we are our dealer's customers and not Ford's customers.

The problem with that is most dealers seem to have zero idea what communication and customer service is. And somehow, most dealers are even worse at providing information than Ford is. If you don't constantly bother them, complete radio silence.
I update my salesman on what’s going on with my Bronco more than he does with me. I feel like I should get paid for the sale
