Oh boy! I was just about to start typing a reply saying you'll be fine on 35's but then read the list of trails. Those trails are way above my skill and damage tolerance.

I did well on Fins N Things and Hells Revenge on 33's (fair bit more scraping on Hells though). Best of luck!!

When is our next Moab adventure Felix?
I'm going to say next year. This year is going to be a light wheeling year for me due to a number of things going on :(. Still waiting to swap out my steering rack as it is no longer reliable due to overheating a few times on the Dusy 🤠

I have doing a number of level 5-6 (at least one really a 6.789) trails lately, and man my skids are taking a beating. Shock skids, factory LCA on rear, LCA's up front as well as those thin brackets they attach to are getting bent out of shape, OEM gas/transfer/engine/front skids, and my (granted cheap) aluminum transmission skid is now bowl shaped, though I was able to bolt it back on last oil change to my pleasant surprise.

I am going to have to at least get some front lower control arm skids soon....I should post a pick but the aluminum is too easily "scooped" out and if I keep it up I might have to replace them sooner rather then later.

I say all this @A51SASBUILD because I wonder if a four door SAS bronco mostly stock (35's, stock or near stock clearance, etc.) is really up for trails like Pritchett? Hell's yes, but Pritchett?

Of course, maybe it's all on my driving :ROFLMAO:
Not sure but we are going to find out 🤣

He is also making a few adjustments to suspension for the trip
might be useful to make an excel with all the accessory and addirilnal onbieard weights becaue it adds up fast and will help with spring choice..

@A51SASBUILD I got the Eibach's and upgraded to the HD springs. If I was you I would just get the HD springs from the get go.

Hard to beat the Mickeys in my opinion. As long as they have good tread depth.

As far as going up to 37's - really up to what kind of trails you and your friends are looking at. For the most part - no, you won't need it, but it can make runs easier and open up a handful of the more difficult trails. 37s opens up a bit of a rabbit hole though to make them fit well, I think you are aware of that though.

Same with suspension really.

Stock SAS can run an awful lot out at Moab.
Great reply. Moab has so many trails for so many levels and vehicles. If you think you're gonna start building a rig to tackle everything Moab has, guess again, the rabbit hole will never stop. Don't over invest in your rig, and you'll still be able to have so much fun and still maintain drivability with your rig throughout the rest of the year 😉

So plan is to hit

Moab Rim
Cliffhanger
behind the rocks
Poison Spider
Golden Spike
Gold bar rim
Rusty Nail
Pritchett

37's seem to make everything easier but like you said not necessary. I was planning on sticking with Mickey's or toyo o/c R/T trails. Little bit less aggressive but could still work fine out there I assume.

As far as suspension only main reason I'm switching is the recall on the stock suspension and one one of my rears is already leaking lol
I was going to offer some advice until I saw your trail list. You are insane. 😆

You can do Top of the World with a stock non-Sas Badlands, bypassing the one obstacle that has been dug out enough to need 37s or 35s plus a lift. I scraped a few places, but probably could have avoided some with a spotter or taking my time more.

But almost all of the trails you listed are more difficult than that. Here are some notes from the Moab Bible:

Golden Spike: Modified vehicles with very high ground clearance, big tires, body armor...articulation is severely tested...takes a heavy toll on vehicles not properly equipped.

Behind the Rocks: front and rear lockers, body armor, 35" tires and gutsy driving.

Cliffhanger: hardest trail we did with Rubicon on 35s. Huge ledge on narrow shelf road is not for the faint of heart.

Moab Rim: difficult and extremely dangerous. First mile scares the wits out of most people. Narrow, tippy shelf road along a high cliff. Your first time, go with someone who knows the lines, especially the Z turn.

Pritchett Canyon: for big, customized hard-core rigs only. Huge off-camber ledges lie in wait for drivers too proud to winch.

Rusty Nail: for big rigs and rock buggies only.

If you decide to do these, particularly the last three, I'd recommend 37s, a lift, upgraded parts upfront and tools for repairs.
