Mudflap and side step combinations for 4-door?

When we got Veronica in the summer it was a fun adventure for my four year old to climb in and out every time. The novelty has worn off and the winter grime has arrived, so it's time to buck up for side steps. I keep seeing people post about different side steps and mud flaps not working well together, but in the plethora of options available there has to be combinations that fit. Can those of you with a four-door, side steps, and mudflaps please post up your combinations?

Factory side steps + RekGen mudflaps look and work great. 3 months in and I’ve heard plenty of rocks fling with only 1 small chip. I have the Sasquatch package.

Weathertechs seem to help. The Goodyears grab rocks and hold on to them until you reach highway speed and then fling them out. Cringe every time you hear them hopefully wack the underside of the running board.

I'm leaning towards picking up a set of these for the front (M2DZ16A550AA). Did you have to cut them up to clear the step or has Ford finally updated the design on these?

Not sure if Ford has updated the design. I did not want to cut the flaps as they fit perfectly around the flares and wheel wells. I moved the steps back about 1 inch. A bit of a PITA, but I was able to keep the integrity of the flaps in place and everything fits perfectly. I ended up tapping a few holes to make sure that everything lined up correctly after I moved them back, Ford definitely didn’t make it easy to use OEM parts together on this setup! Do luv $53 for flaps though instead of hundreds of dollars.

That looks clean. I think somebody on here also had success swapping the steps between the left and right sides. Apparently there is more clearance when they are reversed.

All of these options feel overpriced for what they are. I'll probably just settle for the OEM ones and break out the dremel.

I got Rok Blokz for my outerbanks. Nothing had to be moved, but my fender well had slightly different plastic trim than the directions explained, so it took a little maneuvering on a few of them to get them in. They have helped significantly and I no longer have pounds of mud caked on the side of my doors.

With that said, I always recommend Rokblokz. They have the best method for securing to the vehicle without ANY modification or janky screws.

IAG + AR Racing Stirrups - Never installed the flaps. I think it makes the Bronco look....ummm.... I don't want to piss anyone off, but it looks stupid with them on. My OPINION. I'll take my chances with rock chips.
