Sometimes just turning the rig off and back on can reset some of the electronic gremlins.

To test to see if a locker is working, raise one tire. Spin said tire, turn accessory mode on and lock locker. Spin said tire again. If it spun, your locker isn't working. If it didn't spin, your lockers working!

Will it let you engage the front locker without being in 4W? I dont know what the computer will or won’t let you do.

Your test sounds good though, should work with or without being in 4W

Your right, forgot that step. Put it in 4Lo. I have mine wired to aux 6. But stock broncos with front locker require 4lo engaged to turn on. If there is no bind in the drive train you should be able to go into 4lo also in just accessory mode.

1st edit: going to go check and see if you indeed can put it in 4lo while engine off and accessory mode only...

Indeed you can...

disconnect the battery and pull a fuse and it will revert back to normal...unless something is really wrong.

@Yamapro had something similar happen while solo in the middle of nowhere at Moab.

This plus the bronco likes to shut things off with overheating circuit warnings seems to happen a lot with the front electronics.

I wouldn't post my vin # on a open forums mayb on a PM but would have to know the person.
So, slight derailment - I get why some people blur them out for privacy concerns, but apart from that what could you do with a vin or license? I mean I can go walk down a parking lot and get hundreds of them (license or VIN) if I wanted - they are in full public view if you are physically local

Bug if true. Pressing buttons shouldn’t confuse anything.
I wish it weren't true. It's all too easy to confuse the Bronco though.

That's why I never use goat modes, except for eco and sport. I engage/disengage the stuff I want when I want. I have yet to have an issue with any of the 4WD stuff and I think this is why...

Sounds like confirmation bias... What about the huge number of folks who regularly use the GOAT mode selector and also have no similar issues?

The results in the vehicle when using the GOAT mode switch is exactly as it the other buttons were used, it just does a bunch of button presses for you (steering, suspension, lockers, etc.)

No one has asked but I will….were you trying to engage the front locker while you were climbing in the obstacle? From my experience you should always select your t-case and lockers with relatively “unloaded” drivetrain on flat ground. Sorry if I am off base here but it came to mind. Also as side note… If you”ll need steering within the obstacle don't use your front locker. Front locker is only to assist if a strait line maneuver.
