The concern at this stage is the bar has an internal failure

At some point another member said this was likely the same mfgr that makes a disco for Jeep or another model. If it's a sensor, they are internal and not service outside from the rack. One may be able to do some searching for the supplier and see if there's anything available.

I wonder if it would do any good to physically unhook the sway bar links, run a disconnect cycle and try to physically cycle the arms from stop to stop, equalize both arms then reconnect. Can't imagine one side or the other has excess preload from a bound up link or arm, just throwing something out there to try before eating a rack. The caveat would be all of the wiring checks out from the pin point test and there's no obvious leak or corroded terminals.

I'm still leaning heavily on a corroded connector. I'm not convinced the sta-bar isn't connected (and just throwing warnings).

I talked to Ford and they were very nice and helpful, but they said they have to wait for the dealer to contact the hotline and open a case. Of course the dealer said they had but there's no record of it.

I believe the regional engineer has to get involved now. I'm still perplexed how an issue so well documented is so hard to solve.

I called the service manager. He left a message saying that the FSE can take up to 72 hrs to respond. That was two weeks ago...

I guess I need to call Ford again.

Called Ford again. I will say those people are on it.

I left a message for my Customer Experience Specialist and they not only called back but ALSO emailed. They talked to the dealer and found out the dealer has the replacement parts.

Now to be fair the dealership is smack in the middle of moving to a new location.

But I was able to contact them and get an appointment for next Monday. I still don't really know what they will be replacing. It sounds like the Sta-Bar but if they aren't also doing the harness I don't have much hope. But we'll see.

Ok, took it in on Monday. I had to call on Thursday to find out it was done.

They replaced the Sta-Bar itself. MB3Z5482X

Warning is off the dash.

I'll give it a proper workout in the woods next week. That will be the real test.

It was north of $3000 (covered for now) so now I might need to consider an extended warranty.

They did not replace the wiring harness so that concerns me.
