Got some new tools yesterday from grip edge. Between our trucks covered in torx plus and how many aftermarket solutions utilize hex fasteners I splurged and got these new tools. Their purchase in hex and torx plus fasteners is great. Project Farm and Torque Test Channel on YouTube sold me also.

I’m also a sucker for EVA foam organization to keep things efficient.

Damn, now that’s a highly organized toolbox. Did you have to cut all the foam or did you purchase for a specific configuration.

I have a couple drawers I did by myself but now focus on brands that ship them.
GripEdge, Boxo and Sonic all have foam inserts.

The underrated value of it is knowing that you’ve put all your tools away.

I wish I could teach my son this.

Those are some pretty tools.

Shadowing stuff yourself is a hassle, but definitely worth it. This is my mobile box, shadowed out so I don't accidentally leave a tool on a plane. FOD is a big deal... I've added a ton of tools since I took this, but I have to keep it under 50 lbs to avoid overweight checked bag fees.

My tools are scattered everywhere. I have to spend at least an hour every month in my garage rummaging the tool box just committing to memory where everything is. That, and beer.

My wife, bless her heart, decided to organize my toolbox. Which it needed, to some degree. But she moved some things entirely and I get a bit of Forrest Whitiker eye when I go to open the picks and punches drawer and there are no picks and punches. And I have no clue where my conical grinding stone is. Neither does she 🤣

Someone left a 1/4 drive extension on the ramp, our guys didn't FOD walk, and we sucked it into the #3 engine. Also a bad day. They had just changed the engine THAT DAY, and got to change it again the next. I didn't feel bad for them.

Though this is nice the reality is once you are a certified geezer there is nothing more satisfying than opening the tool box draw and being able to pick out by eye the size socket you need. It is a form of reassurance that senility isn’t setting in. Plus folks who have desks and tool boxes that organized are to never be trusted.
