Does your tailgate open as far as it did or does the Havoc hinge stop at 90 degrees?
Mine opens just as widely as it did with the factory hinges. It feels much more stable across the entire range of motion with the beefier hinges.

Mine still opens all the way as original.

The mesh plate actually looks good with your dark paint color! When the HAVOC tailgate reinforcement was first introduced, there were lots of folks saying they wouldn't install that piece.

Have you found any uses for it? HAVOC claimed it was a functional "MOLLE panel," but I can't see how such a thin piece of metal would support the weight of much. A CB antenna, maybe?

Its just decorative. I wouldn't hang anything from it. Thought about painting it or removing. I've just left it like that though since it changes things up a bit.

That would look so good painted to match the Wildtrak rims

I think some people are missing the point that the mount raises the tire 2 or 3 inches so a 40" tire clears the bumper.
I'm not running 40s, but I am interested in more clearance coming off of ledges.
This also gives more clearance over a trailer coupler. May eliminate the need for a drop mount.

What's the trick to getting this damn thing aligned? I bought the tailgate hinge, installed it and worked on this thing countless times and cannot get it aligned correctly. I'm so over it and my tailgate it f'ed up.
