Can anyone tell me what’s wrong with the plug on a 2.3?

Make sure to watch the install video. Some are over tightening and others are not tightening enough. Line it up and get it set right the first time.

The Ronin is the way to go. Less mess that’s for sure.

Cool, just got my Ronin delivered a couple days ago. Anxious to give it a whirl.

The Ronin plug is on sale today for Amazon Prime day, $56. It's normally $70.

With the Ronin, I'm reading you still have to remove the plug to get the remaining oil out of the pan. Is that true? If so, that partially negates the benefits of the plug - still benefit of not getting hot oil all over your arm, etc.

Between my Bronco, and my son’s F150, I’ve changed the oil over a dozen times with the stock plastic plug. No burns, no leaks, and no wasting $70.
Sharpen your technique and save money.

Hey all! Hopefully this is the right section to post this. Anyone had any experience with this product or something like it? Seems like a reasonable alternative to getting covered in oil every time. I'm not a huge fan of the price tag, but maybe there's something else out there that's similar and priced better?

RONIN FACTORY Ford F150 Oil Drain Plug 2015+ F150 Raptor Mustang (Ford Bronco V6) Replacement Yellow Plastic Engine Oil Drain Plug BC3Z-6730-A / FT4Z-6730-A / KX6Z-6730-B (See Fitment Guide Below) https://a.co/d/9UjHp1O
I had a bad experience with UPR. I subsequently decided it's not money well spent. I would have been better to keep the factory plug and save the money

I saw some reports of people breaking their plastic oil pans with the Ronin plug. So I ordered the UPR.
I feel a lot better after finding out the problem was only during the removal of the plug. If I'm spending $80 on a permanent adjustable flow drain plug, I'll use it as it was designed, not as a semi-disposable plug, when those can be had for $6.

Used the Ronin for the first time yesterday. Loved it.
Between the Ronin plug and the filter coming out from the top, I didn't spill a single drop of oil. Easiest oil changed I've ever done for sure.

I have the Femco on my Bronco and I had the Ronin on my F150. I didn’t have a problem with either but I prefer the locking tabs of the Femco over the wavespring on the Ronin, so it’s Femco for me.
