Without being able to transfer you have no leverage in negotiations. If the dealer you chose wants to add $5000 or $10000 to your price tag, you’ll be shit out of luck.
Only leverage is having that second reservation. Talking to someone at the dealership first before booking a reservation will help make your decision.

Good place to review......... https://www.dealerrater.ca/directory/Ontario/Ford/

I ready to walk away if they................

Nobody knows what will happen but one thing I can’t grasp is how they can charge ADM on a reservation. This reservation is the only reason that dealership can place the order, if they up-charge and the buyer backs out, reservation cancelled, dealer loses that reservation as well and the sale.

only angle is if the dealer has more reservations than Ford will allow them to submit (and I’m not sure that’s a possibility).

anyway, that’s just my view. ADM to non-reservation holders (either live order or off the lot — later 2021) is a definite that could happen, but again that’s a different pool of orders.

Kitchener Ford seems really great, but its a 5 to 6 hours drive from where I live. I am in Montreal, it would be a small vacation kinda feeling.

Cornwall is closer though... hard to pick though

Dealers cannot add $5000 or $10,000 to your price tag if you are in Ontario.

You are a far drive from us but if you want honest service from an enthusiast as well as a fellow reservation holder, we are the place to go. I am the Bronco Specialist at Kitchener Ford and a big fan and enthusiast of the Bronco and have been apart of this site from July 2020 sharing honest information at the dealer level.

I would love to help you and anyone else out, even if it's just a question and your reservation isn't with us. Always here to help!

Correct, Ontario cannot charge any more above the MSRP but they try to get you with fake dealer fees or overpriced standard fees or double dipping on freight which many do...... so just saying beware.
Many YouTube on this topic.

It's too bad that we cannot change dealerships or I'd give a real consideration to yours!

I know, it is a bit frustrating not being able to. I have had the chance to speak to some amazing folks on here that would love to switch but I don't want them to lose their spot in line with Reservations just to come work with me :(

Thanks for that... Its not the drive that is causing problems... Its the damn QC - Ontario stuff... I have to find out, first, how it works and hope that it wont be a nightmare of administrative papers. But with the SAAQ, you never know.

I am not sure where this idea came from...when I bought my GT350R, Ontario dealerships were charging 50% ABOVE MSRP. I bought it from Saskatchewan, and saved $50,000! Don't get me wrong it's not "saved" because if I didn't find it in SK I wouldn't have bought one.

From a little googling the only thing they are not allowed to do is add charges above advertising price. That doesn't mean they have to sell for MSRP.

Ontario laws from OMVIC-Ontario which all dealership are a part of and sales reps are members too.

Well, I dunno what to tell you, you couldn't find a GT350R under $140,000 CDN. I phoned every single SVT dealer in Canada. I believe there are 33.

As Ryan said above, maybe it's because they don't "advertise" the GT350 or GT350R...
