Paint issues?

So we got the bronco in March, so far so good until yesterday the wife was washing it. Which she’s done multiple times and a piece of paint literally just blew right off of it. Anyone else have any paint issues? Going to take it into ford today for pictures.

Dang, that brings back bad memories of Toyotas super white that had issues for years. I’m hoping that first, Ford takes care of this for
you with no drama and second that it’s a one off kind of thing and nothing that will be common With Fords paint.

i just don’t recall many fords over the years with problematic paint though, they seem to have that part figured out unlike GM and it’s run of ”peelers”.

Hopefully your dealer isnt a dick and try to say that was caused by a chip in the paint and then power washing it. If they try something like that make them prove that was the cause. Getting paint warrantied is a difficult process.

Mine is near perfection and typically Fords don't have paint issues. It is possible that this was damaged before delivery and was re-painted? Happens more than we would want to know.

If there’s any “good thing” about it, it’s only the valence. Wouldn’t be too hard to paint and match if Ford doesn’t warranty. Good luck, let us know the outcome.

Looks like the grill is messed up too, how much pressure was being used. High enough pressure held close enough can actually cut the plastic substrate, it can also blow off good solid paint….
