Picked up 2021 2 door big bend bronco about 10 days ago. Yesterday I took off the driverside door to see how it looks. And I noticed several paint issues. Mainly corrosion on the bottom of doors. I only had owned European cars mostly Porsche. but I thought this bronco (2 door with manual) was pretty cool so I bought one - big mistake
First time ford owner. Never again.

I don't blame you for being disappointed, frustrated and pissed.

You musta missed the sticker on the windshield that says, "made with pride". 😆😆 I have owned a lot of cars A LOT and Mercedes, Porsche have me spoiled with build, material quality. This thing is cosmetically a joke.... skins are thin, chips on MIC, weather stripping, cheap plastic etc etc etc.

I like it, but just don't tap on the plastic or lean on the body panels. "Less for More....the American Way."

I don’t expect the build quality of premium brands like Porsche. But corrosion on body panel on 10 days old car. Simply unacceptable!!

I don't see corrosion. I see shitty paint.

I am kind of resigned to it. I never thought I would be for a $45k vehicle but $45k isn't what it used to be in the auto industry.

It's an off road rig. I am going to get it sloppy and messed up anyhow.

The Achilles heel of aluminum panels is the primer process used to bond the paint. The use of aluminum is for weight reduction in order to improve fuel economy. Aluminum also provides a benefit of not rotting out like standard metal. Aluminum will corrode when specific exposure occurs. Chlorides can cause aluminum deterioration. EVERY aluminum part of a vehicle that has had the primer applied incorrectly will cause the paint to lift. Lifting pain and not corrosion is what occurs. Most mass produced vehicles with aluminum panels will display an area or two of lifting paint. Yes, it totally sucks.

It's a warranty thing... For others, look over your Bronco very closely upon delivery and have any defects addressed before purchasing from the dealer. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches later.

What's with all those scratches? Did it come that way from the factory?

Wow. I can usually see a post like this and help people understand maybe why something occurred, etc. Maybe help direct them to a way to mitigate it, etc. Usually, it's a small-time piece of trash, a bit of ugly under the basecoat, some embedded junk, etc.
But this.
This is a LOT of combined issues on one new vehicle. And those sand scratches over/around that pit. Wow.
Definitely echo the recommendation you take that back with the great, detailed pics you have, and get it warrantied. Good eye, and good use of masking tape to ID the defect. Best of luck getting it resolved.

You do realize this is a budget car, right? it's 28,500 dollars. The frills are the upsell. You don't get better paint when you add sasquatch or premium seats or a different roof that they charge more for. You get the same base 28,500 dollar car with more stuff glued to it. Even the wildtrak, as cool as all of the creature features are, still build on a base model that's slightly more expensive than a base model camry.

This is a cheap, beater toy truck. It's going to be a 28,500 dollar paint job, body panels, build quality.

It's a fun toy. You don't buy this for the impeccable paint job or high quality materials. I know that's going to ruffle some feathers, but it's true.

This is cheaper than a base Kia Sorento.
Enh, I wouldn't really lump it into the 'cheap' category just because it's 29k. a brand new VW GTI is also 29k, and I guarantee the paint, fit, finish, and build quality is miles beyond what we're seeing getting past QC right now. So OP is right to be disppointed, IMO.

I do think OP might be mistaken, and I agree with the other comment that those look all like paint flaws and not corrosion.

Now that I go back and look at the pics again, something isn't adding up. I commented above but going to do so again here.
There are light, superficial scratches all over the place, in every pic. Did you wipe it with an old microfiber, dry, dirty hands while it was dusty, or something there? Or did it look like that from the Dealer?
Someone, somewhere scratched the shit out of it and it needs buffing, at minimum. Even taking all of the defects out of the mix.

To my semi-trained eye...it looks like someone already tried to repaint this....unsuccessfully.
