I had the same one, but hated that it was right in front of the cup holder, so I went with this one instead:

https://coursemotorsports.com/collections/bronco/products/direct-fit-phone-mount-ford-bronco-2022

Both very good options from the same place though
I like how that Course Motorsports mounts to the grab handle by the cup holders, that's a cool design. There is a delicate balance of phone placement - I like my phone mounted where my eyes don't have to stray from the road too much. This cheap mount from mabett is a good design, fits in the A-pillar grab handle. It's out of the way, but also don't have to avert your eyes from the road too far.

@cguio what was the mount you were using?

I don't remember the name of it but it was a wireless charger as well as mount. I liked it because it was to the right of the screen and didn't block anything, but I didn't realize it would do damage.

I considered this option because it looks sturdy, but it doesn't solve all of my issues. The mount looks pretty solid, but it's too low for me. If they had an extension arm that brought it closer to eye level, and maybe a bit closer to my eyes then I'd go for it. At the moment I'm considering fabricating my own solution.

So I made a bad move and mounted a phone holder to my dash, on a brand new Bronco, not realizing it would leave a big indent/gash in the material (where it's semi soft). Does anyone have any suggestions of how I might be able to fix it?

You'll probably feel a bit like Robbie Hart when I say this, but it's worth mentioning not only for you for the future, but others reading this.

Ford Bronco Phone mount damaged dash 1737760545399-0l

I highly recommend getting a device rail for your dash, as that is what the Ford engineers designed it for. The rail lets you attach one or several items, adjust their position, and then run power to that convenient USB port up on the dash instead of having unsightly wires running down the console. And if you are especially obsessive, you'll probably even buy a very short cord for your device, too.

Here's an example: https://www.amazon.com/IAG-I-Line-Length-System-Accessory/dp/B0BMQTKLWW

I bought a different brand (that I cannot find on Amazon now), so I can't speak for this one in particular. If you search for "Bronco device rail," you should be able to browse a few different options.

One caveat to this... many (including me) do not have the dash usb.

I'm guessing this... Tackform design
Screenshot_20250126_124013_Chrome.jpg
I don’t think it was this Tackform clip mount, (or if it was, it wasn’t installed in the right place). That Tackform mount clips in flush against the rubber lining, and would/should not leave a mark as noted in the OP picture. I’ve considered that mount, I actually think it’s a good solution - it’s low profile if you don’t want a huge bracket and long mount. Plus, Tackform specifically says this clip mount should not be added to the soft material dash.
