I LOVE the wireless CarPlay. I would like somewhere more convenient to store the phone and charge it when I am driving around.

I would also think that mount on the left might get in the way of one of the airbags. Maybe I'm wrong though.

in 5 months so far i haven't had 1 issue with car play in the bronco. wirelessly connects every time, <knock on wood>. The car play in my challenger is horrible it requires you to connect to the phone and then like 3% of the time actually works. but yes i do get the need now.

I had the same question a few weeks back. Learned at Off-Roadeo that a lot of trail appsare not compatible with CarPlay, so having the option of a dash mount for your phone is invaluable.

Ford’s own new off-road app includes a feature that enables your phone camera and records your trail adventure while also superimposing the vehicle stats on the screen, like pitch, speed, gear, GOAT mode, etc. It’s really cool.

Sadly, I found out about that feature the day after my Off-Roadro experience, otherwise I would have brought my own mount and recorded everything!

have you tried navigating to the end of your music library on your iPhone? somewhere along the way either Ford or Apple removed the letters that used to be along the right of the screen. tapping on T would take me to artists in my library that begin with T, etc... Scrolling through the entire library on that screen is not the most efficient way to go about it and don't get me started on Siri. She will either not hear what I said or begin playing the wrong things. For example. Hey Siri. play march of the pigs by nine inch nails from the downward spiral album. Siri begins playing march of the pigs from the live album. *grabs phone*

I love this solution but I also love the one you posted. I'll likely buy that one too so I have somewhere to put my phone when I need that space for something else or someone else needs to charge.

The Ford charging pad is useless and some people like to use that space for easy to reach stuff, having to move shit out of the way to get to your phone is super annoying.

Yeah I'm kinda confused why you would need a mount... my Android works great thru the sync system...
Now if Ford can make the system work with less glitches, that would be great.

I have found that when in areas of poor reception my phone picks up better when mounted higher up on the dash.

On my dash, from RAM stuff I had laying around. Yes the magnet holds strong.

Cheap mag mount I found on Amazon with RAM ball and arm. (Work phone mount.) It's down low so the phone might not fly out the window.

RAM components. For my scanner. Would work good for a handheld radio too.

Nice, I just got this as well. I like it for the most part. They are a bit pricey but feel really sturdy.
